…and here he goes. I was serious. With bigger/heavier hammer you don't have to pound so much to make a hole with a punch....Oh, well.

Hi all

I recently bought the Iron Heart IH-02 belt in natural. I've had it about a week and it's incredible, the best belt i've ever owned.

My question to the board is should i hit it with the Obernaufs leather oil now to protect it straight from the off, or wait a while?

Also if i do decide to oil it now, do I coat the inside of the belt as well as the outside?

Any/ all thoughts greatly appreciated

All down to personal choice.  Bear in mind that the colour will change once you apply an oil.  Take a look here:

Not to be a downer, more for the potential enlightenment that I hope ensues. The cracking along the edge of my belt is annoying.   Prefer the aging of my sugarcane.

I too prefer the IHB-01 over the 02. The 01 is one héll of a belt, whereas the 02 feels like a plastic toy in comparison…

I think the 01 and 02 share same leather, only difference is hardware, surprised you would find such a difference seul

damn! i was still considering yesterday then just when i decided to get it today, its out?! 

i'm actually thinking of getting the 634S and this beauty today!  in fact i'm now just figuring out what size should i get for the 634S. btw, im nicholas the guy that spoke to you regarding the 666S W33 which i just ordered few days back.

hmm, you reckon i can fit in the W32 for 634S? don't wanna end up looking too baggy in the jeans since its straight-cut. and, is there any chance that i can get my hands on the belt? the black one.
