I agree with Lando.  Definitely take 30 in the 666s.  I take 30 in both BBOD and 666s.  The 666 stretch quite a lot so you will be fine.

Why did you wear them without soaking?

give em a hot soak.  My Busters in the same denim were uncomfortably tight and now are loose. 🙂

My IH-666S (34) came in today! First pair of IH after wearing APC for the last ??? years.

              Impressions:

              1. Wow.

              2. This denim is thick. Seriously thick. Thick and rigid (haha). And to think…I was considering holding out for the 25oz! They would've ended me.

              3. I'm REALLY glad I didn't try to go down to a 33. I would not have gotten into them.

              4. These fit perfectly. Like, perfectly.

              5. Love 'em already.

              Questions:

              1. Okay, I've never soaked raw (or any) denim before. I saw the sticky…I just stick these in hot water for an hour?

              2. Is this the way the jeans are going to fit after soak, shrink, and stretch? Because that would be awesome. Again, they fit perfectly.

              3. What happens if I don't soak them? Is that a cardinal sin?

I'll post pictures when I get home (at work now, couldn't wait to get em on)!

                3. It's not a cardinal sin, but imo pretty bloody stupid and will shorten the life of the jean, again read here:  http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2657.0

Thanks for the answers! Will soak as soon as I get home. Looks like the only problem I'm going to have is getting back into them for a day or two!

                  Thanks again!

This is my first pair of Un-Sanforised denim and so I didnt think it would really make the difference, as well they wore in more quickly without the soak.

BUT, I soaked last evening and dried over night, man, they fit soooooo much better.

Another fit flick. Sized up 2 to a W34 in case you were wondering…

I was wondering about people who sized up like that because I would have to go to a 34 to get the thigh to work.

I think they look great Lando.  Thanks for the pic!

NP. For more info on how I sized/ washed/ shrank them read through this thead as well as "The Devil made Me Do It" in General Chat.

I been actually thinking of picking up a pair of 666s. This would be my first iron heart pair so im not sure how the measurement is. I have had Nudies slim kims size 29, Imperial Shearer/dukes size 29, and Imperial sexi08 in size 30. My true size would be a 30 so im wondering if i should get a pair in size 30 or size down. I'm about 5'9 and weight about 140 pounds.

Measure your best fitting pair, then compare with the measurements on the web page (go there by clicking "SEE IN SHOP").  Work on the basis that after shrinking and stretching they will end up at pre shrink waist size

I got these in the mail just over a week ago (in fact, I got them a week ago yesterday, so I've only been wearing them a week after soaking and drying overnight), and the stitching on the pocket has already come out.

I was wondering what I should do to get this fixed. Just take them to any old tailor? Please help!!

                                      Thanks!  😃

it´s not that bad and can happen to every jeans…actually it happens to all of my jeans, except my IH´s...
just take a needle and some thread and sew it back on again...nothing too big of a problem and fixed in like 1minute. you don´t even need to bring´em to a tailor.
if u unsure let your mum/grandma do the job, they should know how to solve this "problem"...

this actually happens when your jeans fit too tight and you can´t put your hands in your pockets the "normal" way since there is too much pressure on them and you need to force your hands into your pockets...
