1940s Hercules Brown horsehide jacket in good vintage condition for $150? Good deal? What do y'all thing resale value would be? Probably size 48 chest I would assume. Red quilt lined. Let me know quick like.

I went ahead and bought it. The lining is in mint condition. I'll put it on ebay for a ridiculous price and wear it in the meantime. It was the most expensive thing in the vintage store in Toronto. The women said that many people commented on that jacket and it was the first time they had seen a Hercules jacket in real life.

I'm assuming it came with a belt but it's missing.

Never heard of the name but it's got to be 30+ years old. It's so fucking heavy and tough. Super thick quilt lining. Not like some shitty Wilson Leathers jacket.

Well, I'm sure I'll run across some one day. Who knows, maybe I'll go for some IH ones.
I don't know what it is but here in Toronto there are tons of Carter and Oshkosh shit. I'm bound to find a pair I like, just don't want a super worn pair, I want more of a dead stock condition. Denim, duck, or hickory I don't care.

its a strange navy blue salt and pepper…. worsted wool i think? very thick but fairly lightweight and really warm. feels almost like a super thick sweatshirt.
