@llvlaglne will do! Chances are I may drop to a 33 in my waist, planning on losing weight, so Im not gonna soak until the end of the year.

          Please keep in mind:
          Raw Denim

Always soak before wearing, not only does this shrink the raw denim to tag size, it also beds in the constructional stitching, lessening the possibility of a stitching problem (e.g. crotch blowout).  Ideally soak for an hour or so in a bathtub or large sink of hot water and drip dry.  If you cannot drip dry, soak up the excess water with an old towel and lie flat on a clothes rack to dry.

If I like the way a 33 fits raw, and am hoping to get as close to that fit ass possible, I should get a 34 right? After a soak or two they should shrink up pretty close to a tagged 33 raw. Anyone care to shoot me their opinion? Thanks

The description for 666s in the Self Edge website states: Poly Thread Stitch. However, the IH website description states: Over gauge constructional stitching - 100% cotton thread. I was wondering if this was just a simple typo or if SE carries a version stitched with a different thread type… Poly, poly-core, or over guage cotton?  Either way, I'm sure the construction is insanely over-the-top rugged.  🙂

I'll tell you what I DO have faith in; these are going to fit sicker than my s710 size 34. Which are kind of loose on me now. I think I nailed it with a size 33 on these 666s.  Can't wait until they arrive. I've never been a nut-hugging jeans kind of guy but fitted jeans can look good as shit!  And the specs on these seem spot on. Proportioned perfectly all the way up to a size 38. I bet these jeans would look tough on any dude, big or tiny.

Hey all! I'm new to IH after wearing APCs for the last 5 years or so. Thought it was time for an upgrade. After much consideration, measuring, and re-measuring, I decided that these in a 34 would be the right fit for me. For reference, I wear a 32 in APC (rescue) which fits like a 34.

I'm concerned that I should've gone with a 33. With the APCs, the concern is primarily with stretching, so you get them as tight as possible and let them stretch out. The shrinkage that is seemingly the norm for IH is a foreign concept to me.

When you say it will shrink an inch, but then stretch an inch or so over time, do you mean it will stretch back to the original fit, or will it stretch an ADDITIONAL inch?

Also, I was attracted to your size swapping policy in case of a bad fit. But how will I know how they fit after shrinking without soaking them first?

If I post pre-soak pics, could you guys tell me if I should size down before I soak them?

                                          Thanks!!!

All shrinkage depends on what type of soak/ wash you do. Also if you decide to machine wash and or dry, the results can vary. They will stretch back to about the original measurement, not an additional inch from the pre soak.

You won't until you try it. Luckily the B&S area is a great place to move your mistakes.

Of course. Post them up. I think that posting them and getting opinions before you soak is they way to go.
