Seul, your opinion is welcome. (-Diors)  😛

I bought both Aldens from Madmonday and the Vibergs from Shoreman, so definitely interested in their opinion too.

jcrew indy's look really great, then i like the vibergs & then the kudos.  need to find a thicker red lace (imho) it just doesn't seem to really complement any footwear you team it up with.

I'll agree with Monday: JCrew Indy's and Viberg's are on point…the red laces, however, aren't doing the Kudu Alden's any favours.

Edit: I should temper my post by saying I guess it depends on how you want to use them. Once the laces get muddied up and weathered, they might actually look good. I don't know. Could make for a nice experiment.

This as well. Not fond of red laces, especially with every shitty menswear asshole from last season rocking them.

sad thing is i have boots that are 15 years old that came with red laces i guess so they can see your a$$ & save your life if you get buried in snow or something.  now a few folks wear it (a few really should read a million zillion), over saturate the market place with it & now you get dudes that hate it even though i really don't think it looks bad.

i guess it's a conversation we will continue to have in general when things become "too popular"

got to take pictures of my yuks, i think i might have a slight problem 😃

Ok. The gods have spoken. No more red laces.

I was wearing the jcrew Indys the other day on set and the hair stylist said I should put some red laces in them. That's when I knew it was over. Thanks for puttin the nail in the coffin.

I've been looking at those Hoggs Rannoch boots as well.  From what I've heard they're made by Cheaney, but used to be made by Alfred Sargent.

Yes I have the shoe version, they are beasts, never worn a harder shoe.  Zero bend.  But strangely comfortable.  Go for it.  One bit of feedback got for a flatter sole, the commando sole is SHIT on ice or anything remotely skiddy or mossy.
