I can understand that, since when you try them on, they might feel little "weird" at first, but they will soften… and I agree that this not really a summer denim....

Yeah, and tbh they are also too "regular" for my personal taste. but these sure do fade beautifully and this alone makes them interesting. Maybe the extra-dipped 23 oz SE collab (forgot the name, the one which caused argument ;D) will fade similar?

Oh, here's the fit in W33 btw.

Yea Max I think it is a good fit, but since they are so heavy, it will take some time to start to look "normal."  This seems to be the case for the people who have had them for 2 months at least.

Out with the new! In with the old!

Max-  At the DC4 shop?  I thought I recognized the old black Union Special.

I got the 666s in 25 oz and had a similar first impression.  I think that the thickness and stiffness of the denim seem to accentuate certain folds that would not look so pronounced in the softer 21 oz denim.  I have been wearing mine for about a month (mostly on the weekends) and they are starting to settle down a little bit.

                  ^^ yes, at DC4.

^you may soak just the hem to get some bleeding out. There are also guys who put ducktape on the inside of the hem to prevent bleeding. i personally love and embrace indigo stains, but you might want to try these two tricks.

I would definitely recommend bleeding/soaking the bottom of these if you don't want your light/colored shoes to have blue marks on them. Or you could delay wearing them with light colored shoes you care
about for a while (a few months?). The stains didn't really bother me too much, but I tried using a product called Jasonmarkk last night to lighten them up a little.. I'll let you know how it works once re suede has dried completely.

i should take a photo, but i have the opposite of this - well this happens too, but i get these marks on the cuffs of my 25oz'ers and on my 634's, i don't know if it's from the boots or what, but it's annoying.

i'll snap a photo, i assume a soak will get rid of the problem, but i'll probably wait for winter to be over to soak the fuckers.

my grey moc toe rw's have developed a nice indigo sheen to them.

                                      cheers.

Could be oil/polish/dye/all from the shoe/boot? When I soaked mine I got a mild blue fold line line at the hem. I assumed it had been worked through from the outside of the fold do to repeat-cuffing.(no blue suede here) I'd bet that getting your cuff moist in the morning dew day after day would do the same with time…(if your cuffing)

Funny the photo just seems to show cuff wear.(rubbing cheap brown Blunnies) Not the indigo shadow I wanted to express..
