They got the first rain soak now. Fekking stiff when wet.

Almost a month in and no evo pics? It's like a poker game, no one wants to show their cards.

Considering the hassle in the Indigoroots contest there should be some seriously faded jeans around. Anyone?

                    @AFTRMTH:

hey everyone, im curious to know who had the most and the least shrinking in the waist area.

I'm wearing a 32 in BB indigo, the waist measured 31 BRANDNEW and now stretched quite a bit to 33" because in the process i gained a few lbs and lost it. Im aware the stretching is based on how tight it is to begin with.

I am thinking of picking up the 634SRAW in 31 or maybe even a 30. Any suggestions?

Is there anyone that has the BB indigo in 32 that bought a sz 30 in these?

Here is an old pix of my BB indigo.. excuse the hand sign pls

I also have a 32 in 634S. It is a little loose, same reason why i picked up a 32 in BB

For what it's worth dude I'm normally a tag size 30. I got a pair of these (last week!) through an act of serendipity i believe (order mix-up but not really as i couldn't send these back!) and tried them on pre-soak. After acquiring a number of welts on my thumbs i eventually got them buttoned up and they were a nice snug fit. I opted for a cold soak (an hour and a bit) and left them to drip dry. Again i wrestled with the buttons for 20 minutes and wore them while damp. They were tight but fitted. After 5 days wear and no real trouble they fit me perfectly. I know that they'll probably stretch a bit more but they're my second skin now so i don't think it's going to be anything dramatic. Don't know what would happen if you sized up and hot soaked them but that's my experience so far.

For such sturdy denim (i thought i'd have to get a stepladder to climb up to the waist and put them on) they're genuinely super comfortable and i could just look at the weave and weft for ages in admiration at how supremely constructed they are.

Good luck with the call! I'm sure there's plenty of good advice here but that's my tuppence worth - as a newbie!

My pair just came in today….after about 20 min enduring thumb pain and sweat, I finally tried them on, I'm happy withe the size I got considering the fit after soak and what not.

I'll update as things progress.....I'm tired.

Oh yeah....what did any of you use to leave the button holes open during soak??  I know of using quarters, anyone try anything else??

                      Cris.

I probably have to get up 20 min early for work just to button up my Raws, haha.

Work the button holes with the handle of coated pliers (or similar tool) to loosen. Only takes a minute or so per button hole. Fingers greatly appreciate this!  🙂

just use something oval shaped, like dinnerknife handle, to loosen the buttonholes after the soak. Stick the handle to buttonhole and turn it around few times. That'll shoften the buttonholes…

See previous page, Rons answer to the same thing.

injun....that's actually what I did when I tried them on.

                                        I should be soaking today.

I gave mine their first soak yesterday, and I am very happy with the fit overall. They seemed to shrink in the waist more than anywhere else but still fit great.  I went with a 36 which is my TTS and what wear in everything. If a 36 doesn't fit, the cut isn't for me.

Is it just me or are these lots quieter than the sr's where at first?  I'm guessing this is because they fit a bit closer around the thighs, or maybe I have just gotten more use to a little swooshing with new demim, who knows? Just a first impression.

I buttoned and unbuttoned them two or three times before the soak and after I did't find them to be to hard to button up at all.  It was pretty tight (button holes) the first time around but now (maybe four button/unbuttons later) they are quite easy.

Overall, I like them but just not sure how much play they are gonna get for a while as I am absolutely in love with the 25oz 634's I bought on a whim :P. Really glad they are in the collection though, that is for sure.
