      Where you staying at?

Burger and shakes-Holstein's in the Cosmopolitan
Pizza-the Pizzeria in the Cosmopolitan. You really have to look for this one, it's in a hidden hallway, but it's well worth it. I'm a pizza snob from Queens, it's the best slice outside of NY
Steak-The Steakhouse in the Hilton just off the strip, the steaks are amazing, reasonably priced and you absolutely must have the chocolate strawberry fondue for dessert
Buffet-Bellagio for lunch and Cosmopolitan for dinner
Beer-The Pub at the Monte Carlo. I had my wedding reception there. More beers on tap than I could count. Giles, Paula and I had a blast in there. Lots of fond memories

Jody and I have only seen two shows in Vegas, O by Cirque du Soleil and Le Reve in the Wynn. Both were fantastic. O is something everyone asks you if you've seen though.

Tattoos-Starborn Tattoo across from the Stratosphere. Ask for Cornfed. I have about 16 hours of work with him

Jody and I love Vegas, we try to make it there at least once a year. Our favorite hotel to date is the Cosmopolitan

Oh, well then, a lot of people are obsessed with inn n out burger:P

Truthfully, I don't think you can go wrong with seeing any of the shows at a major casino. Similarly, the food will be pretty good at any major casino. I can't offer much in these areas, but my brother lives in Vegas and I could get more info if you'd like.

Did I tell you that they only charged me for 3hrs of open bar, but wound up giving us 4.5???

                That was a great night

We need to do that again.

We are staying at the Cosmo.  Already heard about the pizza place from a couple other folks so  we will definitely be hitting that up.  We usually hit the Bellagio buffet and the Wynn buffet.  Thanks for the other pointers, this will probably be our 5th or 6th time in Vegas but its always good to get other people's faves.  We saw one of the Cirque de Soleils, liked it more than I thought I would.

I need to start practicing my dice throwing!

Cosmo looks really nice. Was in Vegas last April and stayed at the Flamingo. Got the new deluxe rooms facing the waterfall at Bellagio for 40usd a night. Worth every cent. Caught the David Copperfield show at MGM. Was okay but pretty short at about 40 odds minutes? More talking than action. Too bad I wasn't of legal age, so no gambling(though I managed to play blackjack downtown at Golden Nugget once).

Too bad you're going in the winter. The Bamboo Pool at the Cosmo is the happiest place on Earth. Def check out the Wicked Spoon there

Comme Ca at the Cosmo is actually pretty good. It's a modern French brasserie. There's a decent prix fixe menu at lunch. And the burgers are good.

Across the street at Aria, Sirio Ristorante is good. It's pretty classic italian. Don't waste your time at Jean-Georges Steakhouse. The buffet at Aria is so-so. The Wynn blows it away.

And you can't go wrong with Mastro's (I haven't been to this specific location, but have been to several others. They're all fantastic.), which is in the Crystals Shopping Center.

Those are the places I know of and have been to that are close by.

Also, inside the Cosmo is store for a company called Retrospecs. Go check it out. They find and refurbish old eyeglasses. I have three pairs and love them.

If only I did more research on what to eat in Vegas. Had boring, boring breakfast at Denny's twice, a really mediocre meal at Wolfgang Puck. Expected more…

Got back late last night.  Awesome trip.  We spent most of our time/money at the Cosmopolitan.

Ate at the Wicked Spoon (their buffet) for brunch, twice.  They had an interesting selection, even for brunch, and a lot of the stuff came in personal sized serving dishes.  Awesome tri tip roast as a substitute for prime rib.

Had snacks at Holstein's twice.  The drunken monkey that Doug recommended was good, as was the smores shake.

Tapas at Jaleo was our favorite meal of the trip.  Had a really good gin and tonic and some awesome sangria with dinner too.

Tacos at China Poblano were also great.  I had one with pickled cactus.

White pizza and meat lover's pizza at the secret pizza place were also fantastic, especially the white.

Sensing a theme here? You can't go wrong with food at the Cosmo.

Retrospecs was super cool, but I couldn't deal with the $500-600 price tags on the models I liked.  Maybe if I win big next time…

The other noteworthy place we ate was Strip Steak at Mandalay Bay.  We had a Kobe burger and a filet mignon - wow.  Duck fat fries with truffle aioli were a killer side dish too.

We went to see Jabbawockeez (decent, was entertaining) and Zumanity.  I think I liked Mystere better, but then again,
Mystere wasn't cabaret-like (obviously enjoyed that part).

We loved Vegas yet again and will be back.  The Cosmo may have ruined us for anywhere else.
