Iron Heart Coaster - World Tour 2010-2012
-
Sorry, only found time today to update this a little.
Tuesday was the 2nd day of the new school semester, and I already had to start working (and touching up the details and scaled mock ups) in the workshop for the exhibition happening on Friday (16 Jan). Just received the coasters the previous day, so might as well make use of them, and take some flicks.
Coasters at work. Keeping my personal items away from the dust on the dirty table. Some other photos of the coasters:
Getting a good amount of sawdust by the end of the day.I then, headed to a restaurant to have a good dinner with my gf.
My Char-grilled Chicken with boiled veggies, and pasta salad.
Sorry guys, had to drive, so no beer, just some root beer. -
So today was the exhibition day. I had everything set up yesterday afternoon, and am pretty happy with how everything looks.
The exhibition is put together by a bunch of design students in my school. Pretty tough courses that everyone is always trying their best for everything we do.
Visuals of the research trip to Sarawak by myself and my fellow course mates. My boards are the 3 in the 2nd row from the left.
The next section where we display our journey in the design process.
My little corner of scaled mock ups, sketches, and other ideations.
Up on the wall
Some 3-D visuals, and yes, I named my product "SPACES"
My final full scaled model. Although I did designed this furniture, but the it was built by external contractors. -
In the late afternoon today, I went to the supermarket with my sister to do some Chinese New Year shopping.
We are welcoming the Year of Dragon this year. 9 more days to go!
Picked up quite a few packs of candies, and nuts for visitors over the Chinese New Year Period.
Gift for my gf's family. Then I met my gf in the evening for dinner at some local coffeeshop.
We call this "ngoh hiang" or simple means "Five Spice". Honestly, I have no idea why is it call five spice. But I believe it has to do with the spices used in one of the items there. But seriously, not sure which one is it haha.
We choose what we want, and the shop person will fry the items, and serve.
And that is! Not sure how good is this photo, but I can tell you that this is one of the best "ngoh hiang" I tasted in Singapore. My all time favourite stall.Alright, that's all for today, and I hope the posts are "up-to-standard". I would probably do another update next week on Chinatown, I promise to take some good photos for this well-deserved thread.
