once the creases set, you will get shorter inseam.. depends on how your wear and fit..

man, my rear rise for the jeans shrunk by 1.3 inches. 15.8 > 14.5 inches. feels really uncomfortable wearing it now lol.

Mine felt like that at first too, but I suspect it was because I had to pull them up really high to be able to fasten the top button.  I'm happy to say that went away too.  That's the main reason I don't wear my strike golds more than once every month or two.

I prefer it to be slimmer from knee down, but I guess I won't be able to get anymore shrinkage.

^honestly…i think these could be your best fitting pair of jeans Ron...
these are looking perfect and you shouldn't worry about the "from knee down" part...straight cuts are the best for us bigger folks

And the new denim plus boots combo is the fecking shit! great...

continue wear them until the jeans drape to your body shape.. you could get the best fitting on this type of denim. IMO, the fit and boots looks great Ron. Congrats bro..

Not sure what to do.  Very little (to no) hope of getting them buttoned all the way.
Wasn't able to grab a decent pic, but here's the best I could do for now...

Well how many buttons can you button up kat?
I could button 2 buttons after ~25minutes after that I still couldn't do the top 2 buttons so I figured a method by using a shoelace,tied around the top button,following by the 2nd one and then went into the buttonholes…pulled everything thight and after another 20minutes of wear I was able to button all 4 buttons...maybe you try that as well

corporalclegg, would you mind doing me a favour and posting up some post-soak measurements and the duration of wear to date? I want to know what kind of work I'm in for in a size 30. Also, I know you've worn 301s in size 30 and that you bought the size 29 SGs off me; how were the fits in those for you? I'm trying to gauge if we're the same size or if you're a bit smaller…

once you get your jeans, put them on. if they're supertight raw or you cant even button them, theyre too small. if you can do them up and theyre not supertight youll be fine

mine going in for a superhotsoak (from knee down) in a few minutes…trying to shrink down the inseam length + the hem measurements a bit more...then hotdrying with the hairdryer!
will post measurements in the morning!

Most of that will go away as the denim loosens up.  They don't drape well…
