How much stretch can one expect after a hot soak or after the first wash?

My experience is back to about what they start off at…..

So actually one should look after the raw measurements if he want to know hoe the measurements are after some time of wear?

at least that counts for the waist (on every jeans of every brand I own/ed, all unsanforized denim stretched at least back to raw measurements in the waist and always will). other parts of the jeans may behave a little different (thigh for example will mostly stay smaller than they were raw)

Giles got me a slimmest pair of W36 out of the lot. Looking at the measurement of that pair, I think it would fit me properly after the soak.. Looking forward!

I know the TW is a different animal, but they eventually stretched back to the post soak size on the waist.

I've had these hemmed to 35 and with a soak they are supposed to shrink to 34. Typically, I like my jeans to hang at 33.5 but I've read that with the heavier denim you need to keep them a bit longer so as that they fall properly. Think I went about it the right way?
