since we´re talking  bout crease and built i.g.

how often do you guys give your stuff (body, lenses,…) into service?

think i have to do it, since i have the feeling the the kit lens got a lot slower as in the beginning...

Thanks Lucifer! First one's really nice. Creamy bokeh indeed. Second one is nicely composed.

Lucifer… that picture is amazing! Especially with IH's artificial snow xD!

              @Finn666:

so your story is you bought the 50mm, then sold it and got the 24 and now you want to sell the 24 again to get the 50mm again?…lmao 😃

yap, riff´s always posting those great waywt´s with that big grey lens on his canon body...sooooooo jealous 🙂

since i´ll stick with my D5000 for a few more months i have to stay with nikon. and honestly i´m really loving the setup and the design of their bodies...way better than canon imo.

Something like that 😉 But I may get the same lens riff has as that lens is a BEAST and I have more money than I realized! Actually that is probably the most widely used lens on photo forums. That or 50mm lenses. But for me I am debating which route I should go 70-200, 85 1.2, or the same 50 1.2. Only problem is that the 50 1.2 is the softest of the bunch  😠

Personally I like the D7k from Nikon for the 2 separate wheels which honestly is pretty cool. But every time I use a nikon body it is so much more confusing even before I bought a camera body Nikon confused me too much, but if you like it stay with it! Lens wise Canon's are in fact better (I'm not making that up out of my ass :D)! But lets not get into a whole debate lol.

Also if you are going to be sending your kit lens in I would just advise not to. Most of Canons kit lenses can be had for $60 and you would just be wasting your money on shipping if they don't cover it. Otherwise if they do why not? But still, you would be much better off with just getting a new lens.

Nice! It's kinda mind-fucking me with each image - but in a good way 😉

Total fan of your work though! Your images look like they literally came straight out of a magazine. You ever work with HDR to get the light to pop everywhere?

I use HDR maybe 5% of the time in very extreme conditions when it's absolutely necessary. Not really a fan of HDR, I do compositing in CS so I have complete control.

Yea those images I thought were supposed to haha! Takes me a good 3-4 minutes every tiime I look at them to re-figure them out. I don't blame you for HDR though, I mean I personally love it but I usually see it overdone 85% of the time. I mean it just looks horrible. I have seen some nice architecture photography using HDR though, but from my understanding some architecture photography can take upwards of 50 seperate photos!

I would love to try some architecture photography but that's on one of my many many lists of different types of photography to try. In the mean time I'm reading up on wedding photography so I can hopefully be a second shooter at a wedding. Gotta acquire a ton more gear somehow.

do you have any tuts on the compositing in CS5? I would love to expirement one of these days for the hell of it.

And look at what arrived today everyone!

Well doing commercial architectural and just doing architectural street photography is pretty different. I encourage you to just go out and shoot some architecture..you may be surprised with what you find. As far as compositing and masking goes…it's essential for pretty much all photography. Try to find some video tutorials, and experiment a lot and you'll figure it out, can't really explain it without being able to show you what it's all about. That 85 is a good start for wedding stuff. Before you even try assisting or becoming a second shooter you should find a photographer you can intern with or maybe even be a third assistant lugging gear who would be willing to take you on.

Any opinions on the Nikon 50mm 1:1.4G ?

Thinking about copping it for my Nikon D5000 and since I'm planing on going FF some day I thought it's also useful since I can use it on the FF later as well...

Some say that the AF is pretty slow and others say that they would rather stay with the 50mm 1.4D than going with the newer version...

                                      I need help y'all 🙂
