Photograph and Camera talk

Finn, remember that you wouldn't be able to properly use that DX 2.8 zoom lens if you went full frame some day, before you drop that much cash on it. Love the first pic btw!
Has anybody used Samyang lenses? Their 35/1.4 seems outstanding for the asking price. Some claim IQ is at least equal to the 35L. Their 24/1.4 seems equally interesting.
Oh, and I finally got my first digital camera: Sigma DP1. Propably a bitch to use (haven't got it here yet), but IQ is amazing from what I saw online.

yap i know…
googled all night long yesterday and today it seems that i know every single word on the nikon homepageso yeah. i told myself that i won´t be copping a new lens/ body before i´m not able to go out and shoot a lot more as i´m doing it today. need more time atm so my 35mm/1.8 is perfect atm...
now i only got to learn my lessons in PS

And that for only 300€. Amazing! What about built quality? I personally don't mind the manual focus, but how smooth is the focus ring?
When I got it, the focus ring was very nice, I put it on the shelf for about 6 months though, and both the focus Nd aperture rings became a bit hard to move, still doable, but harder, indicates that they have used a low quality oil/grease. Nothing that can't be fixed by a dismantle and re-grease and other forums say that recent versions do not have this problem.

Lucifer… that picture is amazing! Especially with IH's artificial snow xD!
so your story is you bought the 50mm, then sold it and got the 24 and now you want to sell the 24 again to get the 50mm again?…lmao
yap, riff´s always posting those great waywt´s with that big grey lens on his canon body...sooooooo jealous
since i´ll stick with my D5000 for a few more months i have to stay with nikon. and honestly i´m really loving the setup and the design of their bodies...way better than canon imo.
Something like that
But I may get the same lens riff has as that lens is a BEAST and I have more money than I realized! Actually that is probably the most widely used lens on photo forums. That or 50mm lenses. But for me I am debating which route I should go 70-200, 85 1.2, or the same 50 1.2. Only problem is that the 50 1.2 is the softest of the bunch
Personally I like the D7k from Nikon for the 2 separate wheels which honestly is pretty cool. But every time I use a nikon body it is so much more confusing even before I bought a camera body Nikon confused me too much, but if you like it stay with it! Lens wise Canon's are in fact better (I'm not making that up out of my ass :D)! But lets not get into a whole debate lol.
Also if you are going to be sending your kit lens in I would just advise not to. Most of Canons kit lenses can be had for $60 and you would just be wasting your money on shipping if they don't cover it. Otherwise if they do why not? But still, you would be much better off with just getting a new lens.

First test run with my new cam…
Nothing special, but I definitely like the cam a lot. The rest is here…

Anybody know anything about the image quality and low light capabilities of the Panasonic Lumix TS3? My wife needs a new P&S to replace her Canon sd780.

Nice! It's kinda mind-fucking me with each image - but in a good way
Total fan of your work though! Your images look like they literally came straight out of a magazine. You ever work with HDR to get the light to pop everywhere?
