IHW-03 - Melton Wool CPO Jacket
-
So I cannot say how happy I am with this jacket. Well, maybe I can but I am not going to drone on. This thing is beautiful and fits perfectly! So glad I was "forced" into purchasing the Large. I am almost sad I will have to leave it here in NY while I travel to SF for the week tomorrow. If you don't have this jacket and have a chance to get your hands on one, I highly recommend it! Fit pics to come, whenever I feel like it…

you are heavy into wool at the moment

I would recommend the IHM-01, but as you are probably aware, L sold out. Not to worry, PM MadMonday as he is currently selling a IHJ-06 (Large): http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2139.0
or you can PM me as I am selling this (Similar to IHW-03): http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2166.0

thank you lando, I'll think about that.

If you own this jacket, try to avoid having it under shipping materials while you cut boxes. The melton wool collar will get sliced in half….

No way…
Did you actually do that!? :oYou better fucking believe it. Nothing I cannot repair but needless to say I am not too happy with myself. I will throw up a photo later today when I get home. Luckily for me it wasn't my girls new coat which was sitting right next to mine…

Shit Lando. This will at least give me a slight indication of repairs on Melton. Can I make the request of you posting what it looks like after repairs, and maybe the process of doing it (like some of the other fine posts on repairing the jeans). I can see a weak spot forming on the armpit of my 01, and I think I may need to reenforce it some time soon.

T, not a problem. I actually plan on doing the repair myself and will make sure to document it for you. I as well have some weakening of the Melton on my older 01's under the armpits as well. Most likely it is a different fix for that area, but I will post it none the less. Hope it helps. Pretty sure you can have the melton repaired by any good tailor.

Feck….sharp knife! Luckily, no one got hurt. A tailor should be able to fix it in no time.

It was a pair of shitty scissors. I was tired, not feeling well, and not paying attention. I am just going to sew it up myself. No need to waste my money on a tailor for this.
