(But only because MM said the opposite and that's the sort of shit he pulls)

Finally an opportunity to vent my opinion!

          NO CUFF!!!

All it does is create a weakness in something that should have no weakness.  Just look at all the fit pics of worn jeans where the denim is RIPPED-UP where the cuff is.  Its just unnecessary.  Its not worth damaging this denim to show the selvedge line, IMO, of course.

            Well, you know my vote.

Cuffing ain't for showing of the selvedge, it's about style and looks.  (usually paired with right choice of other garments gives nice visually vintage looks)

Adam, I'm with you.  I prefer no cuff, but then I have the luxury of access to Unity…....You will see me in pics with cuffs, this was pre Unity and this is the sort of shit that ensued......

really good point on cuffing adam313.

cannot speak for anyone else, but i do not cuff to show the selvedge. i cuff cause i like how cuffs look.  i'm not into jeans that are heemed perfectly, it just looks unnatural to me.  either too long or make them too short & make them flood status aka peewee play house.

re cuffing IH jeans. Thruth is that IH's create severe fraying faster than any jeans I have owned before. Must have something to do with stiffness of fabric, but alas, I don't give a feck. I just repair (or get them repaired when need arises.)

Which leads me to following: with incoming 634 21/23oz, I might try to give the hems an extra soak to get rid of the stiffness and slow down the fraying of the cuff seam. How does that sound?

I think that the fraying is caused in part by the double weft.  We use a double weft to give the jeans the weight we want but also make them softer than they would be otherwise….I don't think that an extra soak will help.

No there is not.  But I am talking to Haraki about him starting one up…But if he does, my recommendation is that it will be in Japanese with no special English section. Because if there is, the same questions will be asked in both places and that will spread The Hachioji crew and the Gosport gang too thin....

Well, there is a small message board: http://www.ironheart.jp/IRONHEARTBBS/IH_forum.cgi and if you read through it enough you may even find a post or two from myself. Definitely would LOVE to see a JP version of the IH UK Forum!!!

What was the verdict on the IHSW-02? I recall there was some chatter about it but can't find it now.
I know it's a different cut , but are we getting 'em?
                                            anyway, I'm keen….

I can't recall are these just zip sweats or are there pullovers also by chance?
