I agree …the 634s is Haraki´s signature piece - and it should be in ur wardrobe..
I am not super familiar with the dc4001 cut - but it´s safe to say that 634s can be sized down 1 , generally speaking.

In other words - if ur true waist is a 34 - you can get the 634s in 33. Or a pair of Busters in 34

        We can do anything

          Hello all,

I'm about to order a pair but would like a little advice on sizing.

I normally wear 34 levis that are a little on the tight side when new but stretch perfectly. Have just measured a couple of pairs and they are coming out at 36 inches to 36.25 inches. I don't like jeans loose so should I be ordering 34 or 36?

I don't want to have to turn them up. Any off the shelf jeans with 32inch leg fit perfectly so what length should I have them tailored too?

          Would appreciate some advice

Go for a 34, we'll look for the largest we have here before shipping.  They'll be tight for a while, but you will eventually force them into submission.  Go for 32.5 inseam…...

Brilliant thank you, the biggest you can find in a 34 would be great.

How much do you charge for altering the inseam to 32.5 inches?

                  Order placed.

Went for the 32 leg as my current jeans were measuring 32.5 and they are nearly too long.

What a great site and people.

                  Thanks

                      Hi Giles,

I measured a few pairs I have at the moment and most are just a touch too long catching the ground (any annoyling fraying) and measure a bit under 32. Pretty sure the 32 will be perfect.

I'm more concerned about the 34 waist but will just have to go through a bit of pain stretching them!

                            Bloody UPS.

Was at my office from 7-5 and they turned up at 6. Would have though the driver would have known that businesses close at before 6 on a Friday.

Got to wait till Monday now.

                              Well they arrived this afternoon.

What a beautiful pair of jeans, near perfect fit just a tiny bit tight on the waist but have already loosened so that they are comfortable.

What model to get next is now my biggest dilemma?

                              Thanks Giles.

So, we are going to make the IH-634S in waist 42 and 44 for our larger waisted brethren.  These will be available late November.

Haraki has asked me to ask you whether we should make these with the traditional 5 belt loops or with 7 loops.

                                Discuss…....

Has to be 7 IMO. I get people size 36-38 complaining about it. (not specifically on IH)

It's not just the distance apart but also the weight it needs to distribute. I mean how heavy is a pair of size 40+ in 21oz?!

I had the option to keep the selvedge line intact, but then he had to start all the way at the top and the whole silhouette would've been a bit slimmer, so I chose to have the selvedge line butchered… No plans on wearing these cuffed so...
