i can't believe that I was able to resist any sexual or juvenile comments in regard to the teasel.

i am proud of myself . . . where is seul?

Hahaha I was reading about teasing those fibres and well my mind went a bit south… But I too refrain from making any comments...

I also learned where the phrase being on tenterhooks comes from

_Being on tenterhooks is a phrase that tends to mean you are anxiously or tensely waiting, or merely anxious. This usage showed up in the 1700s and was well understood at the time. Today, you might use the expression and be fully understood, but people may wonder what tenterhooks actually are, since they are no longer in common use.

The initial use of the modern idiomatic phrase was metaphoric. Being on tenterhooks referred specifically to the process of cloth making employed in Europe as early as the Middle Ages. After cloth was milled and washed, it had to be dried, but this posed a problem. Normally, drying meant the cloth would shrink significantly, which was undesirable. Cloth makers would make less profit if the cloth shrunk, since cloth was sold by lengths. Less cloth after the drying process translates to less money for the cloth maker. To avoid losing profits and valuable cloth, during the drying process cloth was tented to prevent it from shrinking.

Tenting meant the cloth was stretched out or suspended, like a tent, and usually attached to hooks, often simple nails, that were, as you might guess called tenterhooks. Thus cloth on hooks was stretched tight to dry. This sped up the drying process and prevented the cloth from shrinking. The actual tenting process was usually accomplished via small or large devices called tenters, usually wooden frames upon which the cloth would be attached to the hooks_

Probably not particularly popular in Outer Mongolia either, but we look to try and come out with stuff that will appeal to different demographics/geographics.  Just because it wont sell in Finland does not mean it won't sell in Japan which is the market we are aiming this at….

If I only took the stuff that Haraki sells domestically, there would be a load of stuff that you guys like that would not be available....

BK.  It would be on my back now, but Will had made a standard XL for our sizing discussions yesterday.  He is making me one longer in the arms, I'll have it very soon.  I went with the side pockets option.  Plan is, I beat the living crap out of before I go to Japan in November, Will really wants Haraki to see an aged one, not sure why, as Haraki is totally 100% in love with the oil pull.  In fact, so in love that we will be making a biker type fanny pack in it too (at Chapman), oh and a Type III with pockets…...

Sounds like the aero/IH link-up is going to yield some great stuff.  Can't wait to see more of the western and the Type III sounds pretty exciting too.

No offence meant.  My post obviously didn't came out like I meant it to be.  Sometimes it's a bit difficult to write something in foreign language, so it doesn't sound blunt.

I've been a biker about 30 years now and a patchholder almost since the beginning. So I do know something about bikers and that scene, also around the globe.
Biker culture and scene is Japan is pretty much different from it's western manifestation (dunno if this is correct term).

So, in short what I meant to utter is that if biker fanny packs are big hits in the land of the rising sun, they might not be that big hit in (at least biker community) here in western hemispere.  So, my humble opinion ist that one should be carefull when stocking these.

                                    just my 1€ cents worth.

ps. One that rides a bike/harley/whatever on 2 wheels is not outright a biker.  It takes a bit more than that.

one of the coolest bags I have ever seen and it's a "fanny pack".  just sling it of the shoulders though and it's no longer a fanny pack
