My daily carry is a Lagiole En Aubrac. I got it in Provence and absolutely love it. I get more complements on it than any other accessory I own.

There are tons of nice Laguiole knives, but I think its a regional thing, like how Champaigne is made in Champaigne by various makers.  I have a really shitty quality Laguiloe knife, and have seen really nice ones as well.  Regarding history, anyone know the original brand?

I love that Forge and Aubrac both use individual craftsmen and traditional methods. I've also seen some really cheap knives branded as Laguiole.

I just got a new Kershaw as a gift, and I'm kinda really in love with it. My wife has the smaller pink version of it.
