Looking good but the pose makes me wonder whether you just momentarily took of the holster with the Glock. 😉

He he…That's probably what hectic was thinking too. Nah...I was just babbling and being, well....myself (surprised ?), and my male colleague who took the pictures just clicked away...no posing whatsoever took place.  Thanks Till and Hectic !

Beatle, I'm open to that. However, most leather boots I've tried (including a pair that cost above $400) were uncomfortable as fuck. Seriously.  And, oh by the way, Frye's are the worst offender. I owned a pair of Engineer's boots (similar to what LandoCal is trying to sell) and they were brutal ! That's the problem. I do a ton of walking (as a way of life – every day, entirely doable in The SF Bay Area) and nothing compares to running shoes and Danskos. All-day comfort is extremely important to me, and unless there's a pair of leather boots out there as comfortable as Asics running shoes or Dansko clogs...I probably won't go for them !

I can have them on the entire day and still won't be tempted to take them off when I walk in the door. They make your IH's look so much more ..mh ..special agent ...
pricey - but you will have these for a lifetime..

OK, those Aldens look gorgeous but um…I'm 5'2", 112 Lbs (on a fat day) and wear a 6.5 (American sizing) in women's shoes. I can't wear men's shoes, though -- because of my non-hour-glass figure -- I can wear men's jeans. Actually men's jeans fit me much better than women's do. As you can tell from all my posted photos, I ain't J-Lo ! But thanks for thinkin' of me Beatle !

Are these OK ? (Clarks Wallabees). They're my type of shoe. I hear that they're insanely comfortable and they do have  Women's. Let me know if you think they're hideous (or not).

no - they are perfect …a shoe that's been around for such a long time - 60 years - and comes from the UK - where people still walk a lot - can't be bad. I own a pair in Beeswax and suede leather - both have lasted me for ever and are comfty as all. The nice thing about Clarks is that they are so simple - and classy at the same time. In other words - you can wear them to hang out or to meet ppl at a nice restaurant - they go both ways.
Check ebay - they always have good deals -

I'll buy them from zappos – like today ! I'll post pics up on the forum next week.  Thanks for convincing me Beatle ! I hate ebay...90% of the stuff I've bought on ebay was fake or defective in some way. I've learned my lesson after losing hundreds of dollars, if not a couple of thousand. I've long ago learned -- there ain't such a thing as a free lunch. If you want something, you gotta pay the market price for it. In the the long run, if you lose ebay (for clothes and shoes), you'll have more money and authentic, genuine, high quality stuff. There are some things which ebay is good for...rare, hard to find items which aren't sold anymore in the public marketplace.

My prblem is that I am a 10 E, so I may be restricted to the ones that Alden sell themselves:

As I said above I am a US 10E, so many "specials" won't fit me, as they usually only get made in D width.  But I'm tempted to get a chainsaw to me feet so I can get into some all of these

I'm sure by now you've seen these (Dry Bones Boots). They are the most beautiful things I've ever laid eyes on ! And a Men's 6.5 is more like a Women's 8, so still too big on me. But googling around, Giles, I read something about how these can be custom made for you.
