Dandy's 2021 Eyewear Collection
The Fall 2021 collection of Dandy’s eyewear has landed.
Dandy’s is an eyewear line made by a small factory in Segusino, Italy which only produces four brands of eyewear in their production studio. Many of shapes and styles are inspired by Enzo Ferrari who built his legacy just a couple of hours away. The studio has been producing eyewear for 45 years using only original Italian acetates and in-house designed stainless steel hinges. They believe modern production methods have become too precise and polished so some of the frames are literally unfinished, giving the frames a very natural human quality. Some are partially unfinished, some are completely unfinished with the machine markings from the cutting of the in-house acetate. It’s quite wild, and extremely unique. Most of the frames are larger than all the eyewear brands we currently carry; great if you’ve been wanting a larger or bolder frame.
This new collection along with a restock of two previously available models are available now at all 5 Self Edge stores and online.

Pure Blue Japan NP-13.8oz-013 Nep Denim Jeans
Pure Blue Japan have a new run of “summer weight” 13.8oz denim jeans made of a slub cotton and they’re looking real nice. They’re made of a short staple cotton which is woven into a slack weave denim for maximum character and breathability. These jeans are available now in their popular “013” slim tapered fit.

Merz B. Schwanen Cashmere Knits & The World's Heaviest Loopwheeled T-Shirt
We’re happy to announce that we’re bringing in Merz B. Schwanen’s line of knitwear to our stores.
First up we have a beautiful heavy merino wool and cashmere blend sweater in their seasonal toffee color. This sweater is soft, cozy, and has a slightly oversized fit.
We also have a black cashmere sweater which is medium weight, super soft, and has a regular/slim fit. Using fully certified eco-friendly fibers these sweaters are extremely comfortable, soft, and ethically made to the highest degree.
We now have the heaviest weight loopwheeled t-shirt ever produced. These have a wild feel and look to them. These t-shirts are soft, sturdy, and have an absolutely beautiful loopwheel knit pattern which has a unique slub yarn look to it. Truly a masterpiece of a t-shirt.

The Rick Owens Made in Japan Collection - GETHSEMANE FW21
Rick Owens' new fall collection brings us a newly developed 16oz Japanese selvedge black denim which has a sulfur dyed warp and reactive dyed weft for maximum fading character. This denim is cut and sewn into two jean models and a MA-1 bomber jacket for the new GETHSEMANE season. For the first time in Rick Owens' history we've gotten them to produce their jeans up to size 36; we try to be as size inclusive as possible over here and this is big step for those who've wanted a Rick Owens jean but couldn't make a size 34 work.
First up we have the highly anticipated GETH jean. It’s got a long rise, a super wide leg, and somehow looks great on every person who's tried it on. This version of the GETH jean is exclusive to Self Edge as we had our jeans produced exclusively for us without any pre-set creasing in the lap.
We also have the Detroit model, which is the most versatile cut out of the Rick Owens line of jeans; this is also made of the new 16oz black/black denim.
Lastly we have a cotton twill lined MA-1 bomber jacket made of the same 16oz denim complete with inside pockets and heavy duty polished zippers.

Buzz Rickson Flatlock Seam Crewneck Sweaters
Buzz Rickson’s Flatlock Seam Crewneck Sweaters are back, and now available in even more colors. These are made of a Japanese loopwheeled cotton jersey, have a double brushed interior, and are constructed using vintage 4-needle flatlock sewing machines.
Available now in black, red, navy, olive, gray, and oatmeal.

Mister Freedom Dude Rancher Shirts & Strike Gold's Amazing Belts
Mister Freedom hits us this week with a new Dude Rancher shirt. This new version is made of a Japanese milled indigo covert check fabric complete with 1950’s style painted metal snaps (which will chip with age) and 100% cotton high-stitch count construction. We had our shirts lightly rinsed for our stores to make sizing easier.
Strike Gold used to make the most intense and over the top belts we carried at our stores but stopped making them over a year ago. We’ve asked them to do a new run of belts for us and they’re also now available up to size 38. Each belt is made from a single piece of full-grain cowhide that’s been piece-dyed by hand post being cut and shaped. The leather is unreal on these belts and due to the quality of the leather needs no conditioning for many years due to its natural oils and its tight grain which resists moisture very well.
You can find these belts in black and tan at all stores now from sizes 32 to 38.

Today we're releasing their new heavy winter flannels, available in two colors. These are made of a 100% cotton flannel which is slack weave woven for extra pattern depth and are finished with enamel coated metal fisheye buttons. They’ve been lightly rinsed for easier sizing and are available in Dijon or Mocha.

The 3sixteen Arcoíris Garment-Dyed Collection

A portion of the proceeds from this collection from both 3sixteen and Self Edge are being donated to San Francisco’s Horizons Foundation. Horizons was founded in 1980 and is the oldest LGBTQ+ organization which distributes funds to a large portfolio of LGBTQ+ non-profits around the US. The world’s first community foundation of, by, and for LGBTQ+ people, Horizons invests in LGBTQ+ nonprofits, strengthens a culture of LGBTQ+ giving, and builds a permanent endowment to secure the community’s future for generations to come.

The Fine Creek Leathers Leon Custom 2mm Horsehide Jacket
Fine Creek Leathers’ Leon Custom jacket is back, available now in a 2mm horsehide. These things age like nothing else and are sewn with massive attention to detail. They can achieve this because they’re (from what we know) one of the only small leather jacket brands in Japan making their jackets in-house in their own sewing studio. Yoshi Yamazaki, the creative director, is a detail freak and it shows once you start seeing how the leather ages and how the seams pucker over time with regular wear.

Studio D'Artisan Winter Collection
Studio D'Artisan, the oldest of the legendary Osaka 5 group, continues to push boundaries when it comes to textile development using ancient Japanese dying and weaving methods. We have a beautiful flannel shirt this month proving that they've still got it.
The new flannel is made of a Kakishibu cotton yarn, a traditional Japanese Persimmon Tannin dyeing technique which Studio D'Artisan utilizes to dye the yarns of the fabric. This gives the flannel a unique shade of color which will change over time as the flannel becomes worn in and washed.
Along with this new flannel we have a pair of 14oz denim shirts, available in workshirt or western versions, along with a new run of their very popular Dralon fiber socks in three colors.

Mister Freedom's Podium Jacket & Crewneck Sweaters
We’ve got a real banger from Mister Freedom this week in the form of an insanely cool Podium jacket. This is their take on a traditional varsity/letterman jacket made of a custom mid-luster cotton/rayon blend outer, lined with a cotton flannel, and finished with soft wool ribbing.
Mister Freedom’s Medalist flat-lock seamed crewneck sweaters are also here. These are made of Buzz Rickson’s famed 100% cotton tubular knit jersey and finished with a rear outer cell phone pocket and a small “MF 7161” maritime signal flag embroidered sleeve logo patch. These are available now in four colors.

The Masahiro Maruyama Fall Eyewear Collection
This week we have four eyewear releases from Masahiro Maruyama’s new “ERASE” collection. All four are made of Japanese acetate (including his newly developed “marble acetate”) and titanium and come with tinted Carl Zeiss lenses with each frame's lens color matching the frame to the designer's specifications. As always, these lenses can be swapped out for prescription lenses by any optician.
All four of these frames are quite unique and the attention to detail in both design and material finish is top notch, truly he's pushing the boundaries of eyewear design and manufacturing.
Along with these four new models we've received new runs of three of his best sellers which we sold out of during the first production run.

These are some of the most impressive things we've ever carried and are designed to be worn alone or used as a layering piece. These are made of a Japanese certified mulesing-free fine merino wool, they’re extremely soft and can be worn in both cold and somewhat warm climates due to the natural temperature regulating properties of merino wool. Clients who’ve purchased these two years ago immediately came back asking for more colors and we're glad Stevenson was able to deliver this year.
