I know that Iron Heart is a motorcycle type of brand, but which of the fits or fabrics do you think work best for a western look(cowboy boots, cowboy hats, big belt buckles, etc...)? It seems like the cuts are really Levi's inspired. Maybe a 634 in the broken twill? Maybe 666?

I moved to Dallas and am looking for a kick ass jean to wear at the Western-dressy events they have around here. It's a scene where everyone's wearing Lucchese boots, and expensive cowboy hats and expensive white western shirts.

I wear western wear pretty exclusively and while I think it depends on your style, I personally prefer the 555s but I slit the bottoms to fit over my boots and wear them stacked. Also have fun in Dallas I was born in Denton and grew up in the ft worth suburbs it’s a fun place

You have found the correct brand for this, I think 634 or 666 would suit the occasion well.

@roydub87 Thanks for the insight! Yeah the dressed up Cowboy Dallas-thing is a new thing for me and I'm trying to fit in within my Japanese denim dorkery. I do notice that basically people are wearing very slim looking Wranglers.

@shelbington also, Self Edge (San Antonio) is only 4.5 hours away and might be worth the trip to try on different models to nail the fit and look you’re looking for.

@goosehd You mean drive 4.5 hours to go to a store that will have nothing in stock except size 29 and the odd 42? 😉

Don't mean to be saucy, but as someone with a 34 inch waist, going into Self Edge LA wasn't very enlightening.

@shelbington calling ahead to see if they have your size in stock is always best 😉

I think 1955 is the most western friendly because of the high waist. I live in Austin, and I see a fair amount of dressy western wear. That high waist is important if you’re looking to tuck your shirt in without having to readjust it constantly.
