Fine Creek Leathers, best known for their horsehide jackets have produced a sheepskin piece of unparalleled quality limited to 30 pieces.
Sourced from the Himeji tannery, the leather of 1.5mm thickness is weightier than the norm. The sheepskin has gone through a process of full vegetable tanning completed with water-based dye. Non-finished, it will get darker and shinier as it ages.
The jacket is so soft and smooth to the touch that it is easy enough to wear all day, every day.
Inspired by vintage denim trucker jackets, this piece could only come from the imagination of Mister Freedom.
Made from 16 oz. “Midnight” denim, with a dark indigo warp x black weft and a solid white selvedge ID, milled in Japan, the jacket features an early round-type collar, A-1 style and a vintage boxy but trim silhouette. Details abound such as arrowhead dart stitching, branded brass hardware & tea core leather patch. The collar and pocket are lined with 10.5 oz. crosshatch denim. This impressive re-invention of a classic design has been carried out with respect and passion. It perfectly exemplifies the timeless Mister Freedom spirit of adventure.
Cut from the same (figurative) cloth and designed with furthering the boundaries of heritage wear in mind, the Lot 54bb jeans use New Old Stock Cone Mills 13 oz. indigo denim. They offer a high rise, full leg and cinch back reminiscent of a vintage ‘40s-‘50s fit and are set apart by the subtle accents to stitch colour and styling details. Twelve types of cotton thread, rust red pocket bags and hidden laundry name tags come together to create a thoroughly unique, all original nod to the classics.
While not specifically designed as an ensemble, these two pieces from Rogue Territory go really well together.
The Patrol shirt uses a navy heavyweight wool blend from Japan. The shirt can easily do duty as a lightweight jacket. Features include large black canvas elbow patches, a curved hem and collar lined with black canvas, twin hand-warmer canvas pockets, two large chest pockets and horn buttons.
Complementing it are the Infantry Pants. These use a 10 oz 2x1 100% cotton Japanese heather grey denim and feature a relatively high front and back rise, with room in the crotch and upper thigh.

The Sashiko cinch back pants build on the success of the previous jean and chino iterations by offering a classic cinch back, slim straight design to the range. Stevenson Overall's winter release brings us new cuts and new materials all imbued with that unmistakable SOC styling that is so admired. The Aggressor takes a classic field jacket and adds in a sprinkle of 'rider' to create a thoroughly versatile finished product.

Pure Blue Japan impress yet again with the new and aptly named Snow Denim. Taking nep to the nth degree this fabric requires no evolution or wear before revealing its depth of character - it is clearly there from the start. The substantial 16 oz denim is given its unique texture from the irregular weave, rich indigo warp and tufts of unbleached weft breaking through all over. Denim, reimagined.
It comes in the SN-013 slim tapered fit.

Following a super fast sell through last year and back for a second season are the 14 oz deep indigo xx-019-WID. Deep indigo rope-dyed warp and weft in the versatile Relaxed Tapered cut. These work well as an occasional dressy pair of jeans. Wear them daily and you'll see some strikingly high contrast fades emerge.

As anyone who has visited our London store will attest, there is a piece of art which has become synonymous with Rivet & Hide as a retail space. This is the first Wes Lang x Indigofera collaboration blanket from 2013 and there is now one hanging at our Manchester store. It is much admired, always a subject of discussion, and regular offers to purchase are politely refused.
After gaining worldwide recognition working with Kanye West and creating the now iconic imagery for ‘Yeezus’, Wes left his LA Warehouse studio earlier this year for a rare public exhibition at Copenhagen’s V1 gallery. Included in this series is "Nobody" - the new collaboration blanket with Indigofera.
By turns bleak and bold, dark and thoughtful, intense and abstract, ‘Nobody’ is a double-sided showcase and privileged entry into the mind and thought processes of this talented artist.
Contemplating his early days which influenced this work, in his own words: “A couple guys I knew, their older brothers, who were in high school, were like—this was the '80s, so they'd have some shitty '80s tattoo flash, a Reaper or a rose or whatever and I just thought it was the coolest fucking thing of all time”.
He has now applied this imagery to a more mature theme, yet still somewhat confused and chaotic, which is true Wes Lang.

The new Cody shirt from Stevenson Overall is made from a lustrous, fine-wale corduroy in a rich mid-brown that shimmers from dark to light and back again as the light catches it. Hardwearing yet stylish, this cord is double-woven, making it thick and dense, yet soft. The merest touch of magic in the fabric allows a subtle stretch for a slim-fitting silhouette.
A signature piece that stays true to its western heritage, Cody has a front yoke formed like the horns of a buffalo, while the back yoke evokes the wings of a bird. The cuffs describe a graceful curve and the sleeve plackets, like the two-button chest pockets, are arch-shaped. Matching Belnap Stone Snap Buttons complete the details.

3sixteen have re-released an absolute classic in the shape of the Type III Trucker Jacket. Keeping all the style of the original with the signature crosscut rear yoke, the new ‘DJ’ iteration features an updated cut allowing slightly more room and length through the sleeve and a little extra space across the chest.
The extra body length remains to accommodate the hand-warmer side pockets which are lined with a soft corduroy as are the cuffs. Two phone sized pockets are included to the inner. Kuroki loomed denim available in the Double Black for a sharp styling or the indigo warp/black weft Shadow Selvedge combo for some beautiful fading.

Mossir is the technical arm of Fine Creek Leathers. The result of a brand already at the top of its game with speciality leathers looking for new challenges and new materials to push the envelope. Mossir fuses cutting edge fabrics with classic styling to create pieces that perform every bit as well as they appear to the eye. This is form with function and perfectly executed.
"Leonard" illustrates what Mossir is all about. Combining classic style - the M51 “Mod” parka - with technical fabrics, superlative design and unparalleled construction.
The parka can be worn in at least four ways. First, as lightweight rainwear. The 2.5-layer shell, made of a soft four-way stretch fabric, repels water and is highly breathable so you won’t feel clammy when it’s raining hard or when exerting yourself. It has a water pressure resistance of 10,000mm and a moisture permeability of 10,000g. Being made of a comparatively lightweight fabric, this parka can be worn right through the year in most temperate climates. The Leonard is sized reasonably, so you can wear it over the top of a jacket or just over a shirt, allowing for a wide range of coordination.
Second, when temperatures drop, you can wear Leonard with its detachable form-fitting liner. Made from highly technical Polartec Thermal Pro on one side and a quilted fabric with excellent quick-drying properties on the other, this light and warm fleece liner adds versatility to the piece and increases its temperature range signficantly.
Third, the liner itself is reversible, further extending the versatility of the piece. Switch the direction of the lining—Polartec on the inside for maximum warmth, then switch it to the outside if you need things a little cooler.
Finally, you can wear the inner as a jacket in its own right, again switching between Thermal Pro and quilting as conditions dictate.

We introduced Fine Creek Leathers in the spring of this year and the excitement among our customers who love classic leather jackets made with the best Japanese horsehide was palpable.
For the winter season only, we are offering the Leon jacket in its more minimalist custom format without belts and epaulettes. The phenomenal 2mm horsehide is tanned with Fine Creek's own recipe at the Himeji tannery. These teacore jackets age and wear with a stunning patina, the brown of the hide filtering through the black, a process heightened by the different sewing thread tensions that encourage puckering in the arm creases. They are made completely in house at the FCL Tokyo workshop and as such are limited in numbers.

The Derby Boot in Gaucho Calf Suede by Viberg uses a beautiful leather from England's CF Stead tannery. The style is based on the British hunting boot and is slightly taller than the service boot with speed lacing on the upper four eyelets. This make up comes on the 2030 last and uses a 360 storm welt construction.
Viberg has sourced the Dainite sole in tonal tan enhancing the boots' elegance. There are two ways to go with these — wear them for best and keep the dressy finish, or beat the hell out of them and see how the suede darkens and ages as it tells your story to the world.

Viberg's Service Boot in Japanese Natural Cowhide is built on the 1035 last, features full stitch down construction, a tan Dainite sole and a brogue toe cap. The leather comes from the Tochigi tannery in Japan and promises to develop a great patina and darken with wear. A real classic.

Fans of Iron Heart’s 888 relaxed taper jeans in 14oz denim will be glad to know that this classic now also comes in black. The warp is black sulphur rope-dyed; the weft is black sulphur dipped. Constructed with black tonal stitching, the denim will slowly fade to grey.
As usual for Iron Heart, the denim comes sanforized and one-washed so there will be no further shrinkage.The same IH-888S-142 relaxed fit 14 oz jeans in indigo are also now back in stock.

3sixteen separates this from the standard models with a custom tanned Chromexcel teacore horsehide from Horween. This impressive leather is guaranteed to age beautifully with a complexity of colour and tone as the brown of the teacore gradually reveals itself with wear.
The leather is heavily milled to give you a softer, supple hand. It comes trimmed with satin sleeves and is lined with brushed Japanese flannel. Slim fitting and buckle/epaulette free for a pared down look, it is perfectly finished with a blank snap to the rear which can accommodate any Good Art Hlywd snap.

Studio D’Artisan’s charcoal selvedge is a special denim release to celebrate the brand's 40th anniversary. This 15 oz. fabric, woven on vintage Toyoda looms, oozes with texture and has an indigo dyed warp and Sumi black ink (charcoal) dyed weft.
Sumi ink is used in traditional Japanese art against a white background. Sumi is made from the soot of pine branches prized for the quality of its ink. The charcoal weft gives the indigo warp a real depth of hue and enhances the texture of the denim. In a relaxed tapered fit, they are going to age with plenty of character and contrast.
The Kaseome Sashiko Jacket from SDA is a truly impressive piece. The custom fabric has been hank-dyed in deep indigo. The textured sashiko and rich indigo will show some incredible wear over time.
The jacket comes with a faux fur lining for warmth and satin lined sleeves.

Season after season Pure Blue Japan's insatiable quest to push the limits of what is possible leads to the creation of the most sublime denim and stunning collections. They have mastered the production of textured fabrics woven on vintage looms, the skill and know-how of indigo dyeing unrivalled.
This spring sees the release of the 17.5 oz denim jackets with a natural indigo warp and Sumi black ink dyed weft
Sumi ink is used in traditional Japanese art and calligraphy typically against a white background. Sumi is made using the soot of pine branches that are burned from trees found on the mountainsides close to Nara and Suzuka prized for the quality of its ink. The "ink' , derived from the most natural of materials, has a rich spectrum of tones which the artist learns to work with.This is pure denim artistry. All done by hand. Available in limited numbers in both Type II and Type III styles.
NB - the Type II has been modified to include hand-warmer pockets.
Pure Blue Japan does not just make great denim. They use their mastery of the Toyoda loom to weave a chino fabric with plenty of depth and texture. The chinos are cut in a 5-pocket jean style with lambskin leather patch and officially come in 'beige", but khaki would describe the colour better.
PBJ has released its classic T-shirt in natural indigo. Like the natural indigo denim jackets they are dyed by hand in Tokushima. Iron Heart has released a denim western shirt IHSH-246 in a beautiful shade of natural indigo just in time for spring. This seasonal offering comes in the same 12 oz selvedge denim as the classic IHSH-33 which has also been restocked.
The lighter hue of the 246 gives the shirt a worn in, almost vintage look, giving the ageing process a head start whilst the classic 33 has a darker tone of indigo fading out with high contrast over time. Both shirts come with Permex snaps, selvedge ID gusset straps and chainstitch runoffs.
The High Tapered Nash fit from Indigofera has proven to be a real winner with our customers. Nash is now available in Gunpowder Selvedge - the iconic Japanese double black denim synonymous with Indigofera. The fit offers a high rise and strong taper, slim but roomy enough on the thigh for most builds.
We have restocked "Le Falot" jacket from our Gallic friends at Fleurs de Bagne. This has proven to be one of most popular spring jackets.
"Le Falot" is a heavy duty 100% cotton waterproof waxed jacket in woodland green with a camel lining sourced from Millerain, British experts in waxed canvas fabrics. Raglan shoulder, storm flapped upper back, high neck with throat latch and reinforced elbows make this a superlative element battling piece.

We placed our order with Matsuda on a trip to Japan last autumn and it arrived shortly after the bricks and mortar stores closed last week. Who is Matsuda - without doubt one of the top eyewear manufacturer's in the world with a level of quality you rarely see.
Innovation and experimentation have been a part of Matsuda’s DNA since Mitsuhiro Matsuda founded his fashion house in Tokyo in 1967.
One of his biggest successes was the launch of an eyewear collection in 1989. With a distinctively Japanese approach and avant-garde aesthetic he blazed his own very unique path. Gothic architecture, Art Deco and industrial design are constant influences in Matsuda designs to this day.

@Danny RnH just to say that I have been wearing Matsudas since then 1980s and they are still perfect. The workmanship is really as good as any glasses–-so thanks for carrying them and here's to good fortune. BTW, M3061 is my current favorite/go to pair and they are worth every farthing. Those who need an RX should know that I have no problem with the "sunglasses" designation---the lens are easily refitted by any optician. Rage on, calmly.

@profdbrk Thanks for the message. We are so excited to be carrying this brand. It is frustrating not to be able to show them in the physical stores whilst they are closed but once we open up again we will gets some additional styles.
The workmanship really blows me away. As someone who grew up short sighted I always struggled with any type of eyewear and that includes sunglasses. The lightweight but sturdy frames Matsuda creates have been a real revelation to me and we look forward to deepening our knowledge both of their craft and the brand itself.
