@Jett129 The red car reflected in the bumper image?  Four door, looks to be a wagon, and looks to have tail fins.

The reflective image is a bit distorted to give the impression that the car is longer than it is. I’m pretty sure that’s a 55-56 Belair. But maybe not?

Googled 50s Nomad and I think you're absolutely right. The bumper, though,is almost identical to a Belair. Good Eye! @goosehd

@Jett129 Thank you for the great images and I like the artistic eye used in your composition!  Most people would have never have seen that shot or thought to take a picture of it.

Full disclosure…It's a pet photography project of mine called Reflections in Chrome. I've been working on it for about 7 years. This year thanks to the pandemic there were no car shows, so I've been going through some old files. If you search on IG for #reflectionsinchrome the majority of the pictures are mine. @goosehd

Thank you as well. I’m going for the Fun House Mirror effect that you get as the person’s reflection walks in front of or behind me. Now that I’ve told you I have to kill you. Just kidding!

I was pretty low to the ground when I shot this  which enabled me to get the rock in the foreground. Used a 16-35 Wide angle lens on a Canon 5D Mark 3. The editing software I use is called DXO. The main thing I added/brought out was the blue in the sky, which otherwise would have been a pretty flat gray.

That halo effect is often an artifact of sharpening. Was the sun right behind the rock?

The sun was barely visible behind the formation, but there nonetheless. The picture didn’t need sharpening as it was pretty in focus. I’m not really sure what caused the Halo 😇 effect, but it’s contributed to the image’s popularity.
