IHSH-23 Small Check Flannels

I was on the fence about it not only because I felt like it would be really popular but also because I liked the more muted color of the purple in the first picture. Against my better judgment, I told G to put one in my pile. I am now having a new feeling about the shirt, I want it!!! I might wait a little while to get it as there is other stuff I NEED! It would be hilarious to all wear purple and orange IH stuff to send to Haraki-San!

Hahaha! I am sure I will have no problem. I feel like I could spot any one of you in a crowd. I will look for the super stylish girl with the IH duffel and the new haircut.

No worries G. Well at least I am content at the moment. I still can't get over this belt… CRAZY!!!

Most of the fabrics Haraki makes stuff out of, he designs from the ground up. So this is how it happens:
He'll come up with a concept.
He'll mail me swatches and a design and he'll allow me to modify (a little)
I tell my retailers what is being made
I take pre-orders
I'll add to the above what I think I need
I tell Haraki the final number
He then tells the mill how much material he needs
The stuff is made
StopAt this point, there is usually little chance of a re run.

So. I have this nascent concept, that on the new webiste, stuff that is seriously limited will be tagged "endangered". I'm bored of saying "seriously limited, get in now or you will be disappointed". But the fact is, that is the truth. So when you see "endangered, I mean it….G

Genius..it´s like every run is absolutely unique. That´s what makes Iron Heart so fucking insane - the attention that is being paid to every detail - right down to the actual weaving of new patterns and designs. Love it ….
Seriously! I have noticed that the construction of every other pair of denim I own that is NOT produced by IH is sub par in comparison. Threading seems to fall out of my FH, DB, and TSL's. The belt loops are notorious in my collection for this (Not the case with any of my IH's).

I'm not sure if this is possible from a web design and technical standpoint in your case but I've seen web retailers that actually have a countdown of products available. I think that is very useful and would be a little less sensationalist but possibly more effective in marketing terms than just calling a piece "endangered".

I agree with that feature if it is available! I love being able to see the live stock of a store. The only problem is if it is not constantly/ automatically updated it becomes more of a nuisance than it is worth. I am assuming that this would be a bit more complicated because sometimes Haraki-San has stuff tucked away that G ends up scoring for us. I am also not sure that Haraki-San would be into having the actual inventory availability that accessible to the public. I could be wrong though. Maybe I am over thinking the concept and that G could just do it for the stock at "The Castle" and that the special requests/ finds from Japan could be reserved for those people who are on here and actually research what they are spending their money on? Just my $0.02…
Sorry to continue going off topic!

I got this shirt directly from Japan (I have lots of Japanese colleagues) in size Medium. This is by far the largest IH shirt I have, and I have lots of them. Brand new, the shoulder measurement was 46.75cm (18.4in), quite a bit larger than the 45cm advertised. I contemplated selling the shirt but before I did so I made an attempted to shrink it in the wash. A 40deg soak shrunk the shoulders from 46.75cm to 46.25cm and another soak at 60deg shrunk them to 45.5cm (17.9in). This is only slightly larger than my ideal of 44.5cm (17.5in) so it's definitely wearable now. The sleeve and chest were also slightly larger than the typical IH shirt. The sleeves shrunk enough to fit me perfectly and I'm happy with the chest as well. Note that I usually wash my IH shirts at 30deg.
A major reason I prefer IH shirt to comparable brands such as Flathead is the narrow shoulders. It seems that both IHSH-22 and IHSH-23 have larger than usual shoulders. I hope this trend does not continue and future shirts have the typical narrow shoulders.
In other respects, it's a great shirt. The shagginess is approximately the same as IHSH-19 and less than IHSH-22. The pattern and color are unique and unlike any of the other shirts I have. The pics are an accurate indication of the color, except that the brown tones are more noticeable in person.

Uh oh G, I may need to switch to a Large. Fit pics of a L an XL when they come in as you usually do would be very helpful. Thank you in advance! And THANK YOU Dr. for you wonderful synopsis of the shirt before anyone else! Cheers

I love this time difference! I am awake when everyone else in my city sleeps and all of my favorite IH folks are awake somewhere else in the world. Thanks G. I will resume not sleeping and stand by…
