Our house is 210 years old and made of wood so it was time to do a little maintenance. So after replacing some clap boards we did a little painting…

Wife loves the shirt btw Nameness!
We have cedar gutters and I had to replace one that was pretty rotted. Then I spent some time coating it with Lin seed oil to waterproof…..



Went around to the front of the house to get the older gutter oiled up and the wife snapped a really unflattering picture. I swear my gut isn't as big as it looks here haha…

Took the shipping trainee out to a "staff morale" lunch yesterday. We tried a new cafe that has opened recently. It was good enough for us to book dinner there with Alex tonight


The we want for a wander down the beach. And yes that is one of the problems with Gosport, the beaches are so feckin crowded

In point of fact in the 2nd World War, the whole beach was sealed off from the public and it is where we built the Mulberry Harbours for the D Day landings. Unfortunately the weather the night of the invaison was some of the worse for decades and they were virtually useless:
