      I was fortunate enough to go to the Pacific Ocean in San Clemante, California today. This is one of my favorite places to go. Home of the band Fu Manchu and Rainbow flip flops (the world's best flip flops).

      I didn't take too many pictures. But I was quite enamored with this seagull on the pier.

                I went to the Sequoia Forest today. It was epic! It might be the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I loved that piney smell and all the snow. Like 5 feet!

                  If you go there during the winter you have to get tire chains (or lie about having them when they question you). So keep that in mind if you ever decide to go for yourself. The driving was pretty bad in spots and the road was covered with ice about 4 inches thick in spots at the summit of the mountain.

                  I'm probably going to go on vacation here and camp for a few days I liked it so much.

                            All skiiers reported safe….

                            Tignes is 2 miles over there:

                            Whole of Tignes shut, a few runs in Val d'Isere just opening…

                                  Quasi same here…last week-end near to Hemsedal in Norway. Daughter went to ride with me...Thin & cold snow fall all the week-end + wind.
                                  No way! No ride baby! Me no like combo wind+snow fall!

                                    I think in the case of Hemavan it was less the wind and more a case of repeated seismic disturbance in the underlying bedrock caused by my fat ass hitting the ground repeatedly.
