Heyo, i thought it worth repeating here (from the 362 thread) about SBGs....and its funny cuz Boit mentioned it in the very last post above - SBG is finicky with marbling. Not a prob if you dig the look. I dig it, but it can make for an awkward fade process, although a cool end result.

I hand wash only for SBG. At least a presoak is recommended but always keep them inside-out if you're trying to avoid marbles.

If you do happen to botch a wash and end up with hard white lines in the middle of your SBG, the best thing to do is embrace it, wear it harder, and wash it more often just trying to vary the creases so the fades are varied.

...figured since the SBG runs are coming back thru, it'd be a good time.

I've found my SBGs to be very touchy with the marbling. To the point now where I only handwash my black/blacks.

@neil_kman aw man. I think the only solution in that case is to embrace it. Do that again about 10 times, making sure the creases aren't in the same spot repeatedly and you got yourself some killer marbles.

OH, while i'm here, I'd like to add that today is my first day back in heavies after months in 14oz, and man is it nice. The blue planets must've aligned for this because I now have access to this forum at work again lol

I know a bit of Russian and i think thats an accurate description but I'd like to add that its a creaky, unlubricated cart being dragged through gravel. I do appreciate the flow of it though as I do with most other languages. I enjoy the sound of most foreign languages, but i still cant stand the sound of French, to me it sounds meek and sleazy at the same time. My wife speaks Tagalog, which i know a little bit of, but i don't like it either, sounds like baby babble. I think my favorite sounding languages are Japanese and Russian. Also, I'm aware that Americans generally sound nasal and obnoxious, but there are huge variations from place to place.

@jiminstitches I saw that and even asked if they could ship to the US. Nope. Strange to me how many Red Wing models aren’t available in their country of origin.

@louisbosco yeah that’s why I was on the hunt before the resale market dries up. These were made 2021, and I guess that’s around the time they quit.
As far as the flat sole models, I like the Mocs but the No.8 last just works better for me.

Love me some Rovers. Found this new pair of Copper 2950s and figured I should since the model doesn’t seem to be coming back.
