@Go-For-Chill def, i like a touch of curve, but typical of motorbykle riders, short works a bit better on the bike, PLUS you get extra pockets!

Nice! i've thought about this on my CPOs to make them more "jacket-like". I picture lining up the hem with the bottom edge of the pocket to make it a pouch, making it less of a curved hem and nearly straight. i may just have to try it with one.

@Denimhead-0 shoot, they're probably every bit as good as the real thing. maybe i should find some knockoffs. not like Nike has IH quality or anything

@SKT LOL, pay that absurd resale price, $1250, then claim an otherworldly deal LMAO

@SKT i have such a hard time with special limited release drops. its annoying they do that when Nike is fully capable of increasing production numbers. i have zero interest in the concept of 'exclusive' product releases, i just like what i like and despise artificial scarcity.

@SKT @Matt i like those Tom Sachs. I saw these Mars Yard 3.0s and really wanted them but realized i was way too late and the resale is absurd. sad boy.

@NickD said in Our Cars (dream or actual):
It's not their first shitty name - MR2 in France = MR deux = merde.

apparently Toyota has trademarked a name for a Tundra trim level to compete with the Raptor. The "TRD Hammer". This has got to be the worst name ever, here's why:

@yannis that was my guesstimate - here's a hopin'!
OH, i didn't see anywhere, are these sanforized?
-
RE: SEXIH25 = Self Edge x Iron Heart 19oz Denim Jeansposted in Bottoms
@yannis yup, I get how they're measured differently. I poorly worded my question. If you were to take a single pair, and measure it using both methods, you're saying the IH way would be about 0.5" larger at least? I tried it with a pair of mine and there's a LOT of taper in that top inch of thigh, which makes the SE method a little wonky to me. I guess I'm biased, When I look at a thigh measurement of 12.25", it makes my junk nervous. I know it's gotta be at least 12.75" (IH method) though, which is definitely noticeable.

RE: SEXIH25 = Self Edge x Iron Heart 19oz Denim Jeansposted in Bottoms
@cyclops good to know! Most of my pairs get about the same, so i've come to expect about 2" rather than the 1". I get why they say that though.
Does anyone have any observations about thigh measurements posted the SE way vs the IH way? I'm estimating the difference to be at least a half inch.

These look too good to pass up. Feel like I'm winging it with the measurements but if they fit as good as they read, it should work out. The 34's chart are exactly like the 888's I'd wear, just with a slightly lower rise and bigger waist, which is kinda ideal. Didn't really need another pair, but seeing as these are limited, and I have a tax refund to blow....

I guess we're not getting Jolyon Palmer's Analysis for the 2026 season? That's extremely disappointing.

RE: Motor Sportposted in Sport
Yup and it seems like the fia is still wanting to stay tight-lipped about the issues with the cars

So happy for Kimi! Great battle between Ferraris. The hybrid setups are still dumb. 7 DNFs!?

Had to do it. I think this color is going to age nicely. It’s a good grayish brown, very light on the inside.

RE: Motor Sportposted in Sport
So I've done a bit of research and I'm trying to wrap my head around this new PU. It's surprising difficult as they seem pretty cagey about details. "Just watch, you'll like it, lots of overtakes."
total power over 1,000 HP, but this breaks down into a distribution of kW, which i dont understand as well.
ICE = about 400kW
Electric Motor = about 350kW
Overtake = 0.5MJI'm sure the electic motor isn't pure drag at all times the "Boost" button isn't pressed, right? Or is it purely running on the ICE at about 540hp?
Seems like they probably have a split that is 'Boosted' like 20% with the button. Then maybe another 10% with "overtake"? (i swear i heard Jacques, say something like this during the broadcast.)
Thing is, How does the FIA regulate exactly the output and discharge of the various 0.5MJ for "overtake" when the systems are bespoke? If one car were to regularly find itself in a DRS-Train, ahem, "Overtake-train" would they theoretically place higher wear on their components via hyper discharge?
Just brainstorming, feel free to join me

The worst part is -despite our objections, I'm sure they'll consider it a successful season and rule era, thanks to the boosted viewership they're certainly getting with Apple, Netflix, and the F1 movie.
