@truby I just had the same experience with the same pair of jeans. I bought my usual 633 size since the measurements all lined up and the new pair was way bigger, so I'm currently awaiting my exchange for a size down.

@Aussie-Ben Echoing @wjw and @ManiacLachy, the 633 is probably your cut. I was in a similar position as you, in that the 634 fit me snug on the top block and the 888 has a higher rise and more aggressive taper than I'd hope for, so I've been sticking mostly to 633 (although I'd still love to try 1955 if I could ever get my hands on a pair). You're limited to the types of denim available but there are enough options to keep it interesting.

@Inorganic Hell yeah, quite the silver beauty you've got there!

Mine is an '05, and the attention thing is an adjustment. I've been cut off in traffic and had people flip me off, which is silly given at the end of the day it's a 20-year-old truck!

If you haven't already, you may want to check out clubgwagen.com. There's tons of technical DIY knowledge for working on these and a great place to meet fellow owners in your neck of the woods. I know there are quite a few up there.

I don't consider myself an off-roader nor an overlander, but I love getting off-pavement and camping in far-flung places. I've had my G55 for almost 10 years now and have been all over the western US camping and road tripping, most recently in Death Valley and Plumas National Forest.

@mecken88 Hell yeah, enjoy that jacket! Reading your impassioned post made me look at mine in the closet, waiting for the California summer to ease off so I can wear it again.

Hell yeah, glad you're enjoying yours as well! I'm with you on the chunkiness which was one of the main draws for me for this pair. Most of my boots have a "sleeker" profile so I liked the bulkier profile of this pair and the comfort that comes with it.

I appreciate you guys weighing in with your experiences @Jakederoche and @Luijim78. I can't wait until the weather is more favorable to get more regular wear out of this beauty!

Inaugural wear on the Type 3 OD. This is my first IH Type 3 and it fits different than other non-IH Type 3 jackets I own, quite a bit more narrow through the sleeves and the body when buttoned, almost like a shirt cut. Anyone else find this to be the case or is this common with the IH Type 3? The fit will take some getting used to, but man, it's a beaut!

Stoked I managed to snag an OD after dealing with the site slowdown. Hope everyone who wanted one was eventually able to get one as well!

@kiya Curious around the reason why you folks generally carry IH tops up to 3X, and only OD fabrics go up to 4X. I'm guessing it's to account for the "shrinkage" that occurs in OD fabrics but as a larger fellow, having more options in 4X would be appreciated.
