Not at all. It's a lovely denim, and I wanted a denim cap, not specifically a selvedge denim cap.
Apart from the selvedge seem, what are the differences between the Iron Heart selvedge and non-selvedge denims? Please feel free to point me to the thread where this has inevitably been discussed before!
I just received my cap and it is great.
I own a pair of 555-01 and the denim is different on the cap to those jeans. Specifically the weft of the cap is a bright white, whereas the weft of the 555-01s is cream.
Any particular reason? It's not a bad thing, I'm just interested.
One of the reasons that dry cleaning does not shrink natural fabrics is that the friction within the fabric is not reduced by dampening.
I hate to contradict the denim guru, but "dry cleaning" means cleaning using a solvent other than water, rather than not using any liquid at all. Dry cleaned clothes still soak in liquid (typically tetrachloroethylene).

I get what you mean Seul about boots and slim cuts, but I think it works ok in this instance.
Fit pic of my 555-01s. Sorry about the rubbish pic. I had to up the brightness due to poor light, which doesn't exactly help.
I love the fit. The denim is heavier and slimmer than I've worn before, but it is nice and stretchy. I'm around 6'1", and I had them hemmed to take 3.5" off.

I bought a pair of these in 33. My last jeans were some Flat Head F380s in 34, and the difference in slimness is large, as you would imagine.
I'm enjoying my first pair of IHs, and I'll post pics soon.
