RE: Schmidt Shirtposted in Other Brands and ShopsI could be wrong, but I think I sent Jan that selvedge denim fabric. Is the selvedge pink? If so, I have a shirt from the same fabric. I love it. It will wear/wash really well.

RE: Schmidt Shirtposted in Other Brands and Shops^^ Great looking shirt!! Is that a chambray or denim? I have a similar shirt, but with buttons Jan made for me out of 8oz Kuroki denim fabric. I love it!! skc

RE: Schmidt Shirtposted in Other Brands and ShopsWoe is me, just contacted Herr Schmidt about a herringbone Western and the fabric is no more (well, enough left for him to make himself a shirt ).  Though he said given sufficient interest he could try to get some more.  nudge nudge (Hint: his email is on his Web site mentioned in this thread's original post). ).  Though he said given sufficient interest he could try to get some more.  nudge nudge (Hint: his email is on his Web site mentioned in this thread's original post).More fabric is a possibility. What would you get? A one pocket worker style, or something different? That's the other cool aspect of a Schmidt shirt. You can get whatever you want. One pocket or two, or button down or snaps etc….. Yokes. Different colored stitching. High quality buttons etc.... I personally really dig what Jan came up with on my shirt. Two non-flap pockets with perpendicular striped placement. So what buttons should I use?? I'm thinking the hour glass MOPs look really cool!! Not sure if I like the metal jacket style buttons. This fabric in raw form is quite stiff. Possibly due to the extra stitching. From pure feel alone, I would have guessed the fabric to be closer to 12oz selvedge. I just hope I can justify wearing it enough to get some blue/brown evolve. Going to be hard since I'll soon have a closet full of Schmidt shirts to choose from. And yes, Jan can hide the label on the inside hem or underneath the flap of the pocket if you don't like it.

RE: Schmidt Shirtposted in Other Brands and ShopsYes indeed. Somehow I think it'd be cleaner sans tag but that's a crazy great shirt. No way. I have a shirt without the Schmidt tag and I'm thinking of sending it back to Germany for Jan to brand it loud and proud

RE: Schmidt Shirtposted in Other Brands and Shops@tmg: Wow, that herringbone shirt looks amazing! Short or long sleeve? Long sleeve. Here's a closeup of the weave on the fabric:

RE: Schmidt Shirtposted in Other Brands and ShopsI need a Schmidt shirt… Jan: can you make me a western wabash shirt??? Sizing would be easy: same as my IHSH-07... That's the beauty of my Schmidt shirts. They fit better than any of my shirts…...including my IH shirts. Jan is so utterly precise he test shrinks the fabrics and factors that into the fit of the shirt!!!! I have one more on order and then I want one of these: and one of these:

RE: Schmidt Shirtposted in Other Brands and ShopsMy Schmidt shirts are without a doubt my favorite shirts in my closet. Absolutely too cool, completely custom and Jan is great deal with. And each shirt has been delivered with a small custom mini tote bag, extra snaps and buttons. Best finishing I've seen on a shirt. Couple of quick pics of two of my shirts.
