RE: New Iron Heart Website - Launching Soon!
I had the same thing happen, then I just clicked the forum link on the down page and voilá. I think a lot of people were running into the same issue, because I noticed there seemed to be a lot less posts yesterday.

RE: New Iron Heart Website - Launching Soon!
@Go-For-Chill I feel like it worked SOMETIMES, just enough for me to halfway give it a personality, like a cool girl who ignores me most of the time. I’d start typing “B-U-C…. BIG BUCK! Look! She likes me today!” Most of the time just the cold silence, though. Sigh.

RE: Role Club By Brian the Bootmaker
I’ll chime in on the questions and say no/no/no, but I do use a boot jack just because they’re really convenient. I have a pair of made to measure Role Clubs and two pairs of Mr Lou’s, one in size 12 and one 12.5. IIRC my Brannock size is probably a 13.5, which is why 12.5 seems to be be the most ideal fit for me in Wesco. 12 is doable — a little snug on the top of my foot — but I can get them off and on with no problem / no unbuckling.
The reason I offer all this up is that my first pair of engineers were Lofgrens in 12. I really needed a bigger size, but that was the biggest they made, and they were positively murderous to deal with for a while. I had them stretched by a cobbler twice, and even after breaking them in I still had a really hard time getting one of them on (I have high insteps but my right foot is higher). Thankfully I got past having to use the plastic bag, but once I got a pair that actually fit, I couldn’t sell them fast enough. They were killer boots and I still love the way the Lofgren engineers look, but they were just too small. This is all to say that if anybody runs into that whole mess, just size up if possible and make your life easier.

Hell yeah man. I’m such an anxious person that I live for some chill tunes. Bring on the pan flute!

RE: IH-634S-19L - 19oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans
@pechelman yep, that’s what I’ve noticed as well. It took me a long time to figure out that it’s the back rise that’s probably the biggest factor for me in terms of a good fit in the top block. It’s also crazy to think that just a half inch can indeed cause such a difference, but as far as I can tell, it’s true. If I have a pair of 34s with a 15” RR, it’s gonna have that riding-up effect. Now I aim for at least 15.5, ideally more like 16. My sz 34 634XHS that have been my daily drivers for the past 6 months clock in a tad below 16 and they’re perfect.

RE: IH-634S-19L - 19oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans
I still would really love a pair of these, but sadly I just couldn't find a size that'd work for me because the rear rise on this last run seemed to be shorter than usual. I really got a pronounced wedgie effect, which was just not a look I wanted to rock. @Alex I'm curious if anybody else noted this, and if maybe if there's a way to give feedback for the next run? I do know from your past comments that giving that kind of suggestion to IHJ can fall on deaf ears, but figured I'd ask.

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
Yeah @Go-For-Chill those videos are a great resource. It's good to know all the specifics ways that IH measures their stuff, but the waist technique is the most unique. I'll agree with @yannis that there are still some inconsistencies you can run into out there in the world, which I suspect boils down to whether or not someone pulls the waist super tight when they measure it, or simply lays it as flat as possible (which is what I do), or even just kinda half-asses the measuring. All that said, I think the IH method is the best for the brand because it's the in-house point of reference.

@Alex haha you’re really loving this, aren’t you?

RE: NEW CUT - Relaxed Straight Cut Jeans
@Go-For-Chill you might be thinking of the 18oz Raw, which Giles designed. That denim was sadly phased out by the new 18oz Vintage because I guess at the time there could only be one. The OG is my favorite IH denim, too.
I'm a little baffled by these pics — the new 18oz doesn't have that hairiness, if I recall correctly, but I don't own anything in that denim at the moment, so I can't really compare. I do remember it being more crosshatch-y than that. I do have a pair of Beatle Busters in the old 18oz, and that denim isn't as hairy — it starts out more flat but then develops this really cool crosshatch that's even more pronounced than the new 18s. These new pics look like a totally new denim to my eyes. Hairy texture, little bit of vertical slub, but nothing like the 16oz slubby. MYSTERIES!

RE: NEW CUT - Relaxed Straight Cut Jeans
@Alex @Mizmazzle aw thanks dudes — I’m doing well! Just up to the same ol stuff really, just trying to stay sane in this current world of ours. Attempting to be a little less online, to varying degrees of success. Y’all doin alright?

RE: NEW CUT - Relaxed Straight Cut Jeans
These look awesome, @Alex . 21oz first run, or other denim as well? Would love these in UHR.

RE: Music
@Giles the documentary on her, "What Happened, Miss Simone?", is well worth tracking down.

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
That's cool. I dig the lighter blue, almost sort of a Lee or Wrangler vibe.

RE: IRON HEART WAYWT - 2025 EDITION
@SKT dude thank you! I'll definitely give you the rundown.

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
@Giles Ah, right on! I saw the tomboy part but didn't realize that was an actual model. So it's non selvedge 21oz, or another weight? Totally different fabric? I'm intrigued.
