  • RE: IHW-05 - 32oz Melton Wool Pea Coat

I too have just picked this baby up and am very happy indeed.
Size wise,I wear XL in everything IH and went with the same for the Pea Coat.As Giles says, the sizing is a touch more relaxed than usual,so there's room for a layer….If i was looking for a more vintage fit,i probably could have even sized down to an L,but the shoulders are spot on and I'm very happy that i can fit a decent sweater underneath...it's a winter coat after all.
I've had a few peacoats and this one is very special indeed...i was looking for a new coat as my vintage one was getting a hammering and it's 53 years old now!! the search is officially over.
This one is exactly what i was looking for.

  • RE: IH-634-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Def 36…i have the 634SR in a 36 which are comfy but on the border of tight.
As Rocket said, the 25oz just give you a touch more breathing space..they were spot on straight away.

  • RE: IH-1955S

These arrived yesterday and i'm in them as i type.Fantastic quality as ever.
I really like the cut of these..as has already been said, they're a true 55,sitting higher than the 634 on the waist - mine are getting close to belly button level - which may not be for some but i really like that style.
Only on day 2 but they certainly live up to expectation so far.I'll have a go at fit pics at the weekend…there seems to be a distinct lack of photographic evidence that they're out there...

Oh dear…these and the IH634 raw on the way...at least they're 'extant' and give my wallet a chance to catch up,esp with the cord type III round the corner.

Wow..this makes my Levi's white tab look like it's made from paper!
I think it's fair to say i've been waiting for this jacket..and no side pockets …how it should be...perfect.

  • RE: Tricker's

Perfect ! I have the Stow in black for work .. with a suit they give the look a touch of Victoriana which i like ..  and the acorn-coloured Stow for jeans etc…When the chap in the shop told me they'd not changed the look of the Stow for decades,i knew i'd come to right place.
For those of you after a pair, and can get to the shop in Jermyn St,it's a fantastic old school experience.
The place just exudes history, from the picture of the Queen on the wall,to the fantastically knowledgable and polite staff...they even called me 'sir' which i found a little embarrassing but reassuring at the same time.
It's just great to know that this sort of shop still exists in this day and age, where you can take your time, know that you have a quality product made properly and ethically, and won't be sold something if it's not right for you....sound familiar?

  • RE: Introduce Yourself Here

Just had a look over there and I really am 'raw and unwashed' compared to the 'hardcore' … must try harder  😉 . In my defence i only started in May... 😃

  • RE: Introduce Yourself Here

    Hello there,
I have posted once before as an aero customer - i have a couple of FQHH jacket, and bought my denim from Will…Lee101z/b/j etc... but have been converted to Iron Heart for all my denim etc needs..
I found the site by accident a couple of months ago and have become a little addicted..i've managed to rack up;IH634s,IHSH21/22/16/25/26OD,IH526J,IH01 and two tan IH02 (one for the wife...) I feel a little embarrassed listing it out like that but as you all know so well, the quality and exclusivity of IH means that after that initial purchase, there's no going back!
The knowledge on this forum has been really helpful when chosing those essential items ... looking forward to the denim IHW-01 and the next run of 634SR .. i may slow down a bit after that..
thanks again for your help albeit unknowingly...
