Wow, the XXLs sure went in a hurry. I wonder if I might be happy with a XXXL…

A little bit of 14oz indigo/black western lurve…..
Ooh, is there going to be a work shirt version of this one?

The khaki lining is a nice, subtle improvement over the green from last year's run. I enjoy this jacket quite a bit - I've received many compliments.

RE: IHSH-250-IND - 5oz Selvedge Cotton Linen Chambray Short-Sleeved Work Shirtposted in Shirting
So I bought this shirt in my usually dependable XXL and the chest measurements looked reasonable if a tad bit snug, but I find that it's pulling quite a bit in the chest now that I've tried it on. I like the way it drapes otherwise and I'm unsure if I should try for a size up or just return it. Thoughts?

RE: IH-555-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Jeans - Indigo/Blackposted in Bottoms
As someone who tub washes because they have a terrible washing machine, the water is certainly blue afterward. I'm not sure how else one could explain that. That said, I think losing indigo in the wash is a good thing. It's what helps fades evolve. Going extended extended periods without washing is bad for fades, bad for the fabric itself.

Sex number, weed number. Hilarity.

I'd love a black denim work shirt. I was waiting on an IHSH-95 restock and was quite disappointed when it went extinct.

RE: TIIIBSP2019-OD - 23oz Overdyed Indigo Modified Type III Jacketposted in Jackets
The one defining characteristic of the SE 23oz would be the tightness of its weave. The non-overdyed fabric looks like a double indigo because the tightness makes the weft pretty much invisible. I imagine the overdyeing process only tightened it up further, making this a very warm jacket indeed.

That's essentially what Self Edge's 633 is and it definitely works better for me.

RE: IH-555S-16 - 16oz Vintage Selvedge Super Slim Cutposted in Bottoms
Yup, this is shaping up to be one of my favorite IH fabrics. I liked my 666 so much I ended up getting a pair of these when they hit the outlet even though tapered cuts usually aren't my thing. I have to wonder why it didn't find much traction.

I have a number of work shirts and a number of UHFs, but this will be my first UHF work shirt. Excited for this one.

Now that corduroy Type IIIs are back after a long hiatus, how about making an indigo model? The indigo cord shirts were quite nice looking and I would most definitely be into a jacket.

Pulled the trigger on it too, even though I like workshirts better.
In my opinion, this fabric cries out for a workshirt. I hope it finds another incarnation.

RE: IHSH-137 - Spring Weight Mini Herringbone Check Western Shirtsposted in Shirting
I noticed a co-worker with a very familiar looking shirt, yet it wasn't an Iron Heart. Apparently Gustin sourced a fabric from Japan that was very clearly inspired by the 137, but it didn't have quite the same depth and vibrancy. Anyone else seen IH get ripped off like this?

Any chance that these could see another run? It doesn't seem like the last batch sold poorly except for the glut of XXXLs. I'd definitely be interested if it would be the long body type as originally intended.

Buying this jacket has given me M65 Baader-Meinhof phenomenon. I never realized how many jackets are modernized variants of the original.

Picked up the XL IHW-11 but I must confess - I took the patch off. I just couldn't get in the way of the all-black sleekness.

RE: IH-666SII - 18oz Indigo/Indigo Slim Cut Jeanposted in Bottoms
I gave mine an initial hot soak to tighten up the leg and mine have stretched about .75" over initial size, but strangely I didn't get the last bit until after their second wash. I bought these when I was quite thin and they've accommodated me nicely as I've thickened up. Piranha, were your 34s really 34? My pair was 35.5" as per the listed measurements.

RE: IHSH-129 - Indigo Check Heavy Selvedge Flannel Western Shirt - Blue & Greenposted in Shirting
I said I wasn't going to buy any more western shirts after the 107, but I fell in love with the blue when Giles originally posted the swatches. I resisted buying the green since I already have the 86.

RE: IHM-10 - N1 Deck Jacket - 2015 Editionposted in Jackets
I finally came to the realization that I bought my IHM-09 a size too large and was planning on stepping down to an XL, but olive being replaced by khaki put a snag in my plans. Maybe next year.
