@Clint_D is an absolute legend. I bought his IHJ-79 and it exceeded my expectations by a mile. It's in flawless condition, he packed it carefully, and shipped it quickly. As a bonus, the jacket fits me perfectly and I wouldn't change a thing about it (compliments to Haraki-san).

Has a decision been made regarding upsizing the work shirt buttons?

I'll be making my first-ever visit to the UK in May. Is there a process for visiting IHUK in Gosport, or is it walk-in friendly?

You might have the most wear on your SSTs of anyone I've seen. How's the durability compared to the standard 21oz? I have a pair of both but I've only put about 30 wears on the SSTs so far. I'm hard on the thighs and crotch so my standard 888S have 330 wears and 2 crotch repairs.

My take: Whipcord cargos are very good for cold days. XHS isn't "warm" in the sense that it is not a very textured/fuzzy denim. But it is much more wind resistant than 21oz. The parts of the jeans that are taut and in direct contact with your skin will feel no warmer in XHS compared to 21oz. But for the parts that are looser fitting, or not in direct contact (below the knees) the wind resistance of XHS helps a lot.

Thanks, its versatility has me reaching for it more than any other outerwear piece.

The weather in the Pac NW is finally back down into the 30s (F) so I took the opportunity to pair the IHM-32 and IHSH-303. Worn over 21oz Samurai's, which I love, except for the 100% cotton thread.

Thanks for that input @Mike_Lima_Papa I tried different grinder adjustments but you are right, the puck gives less back pressure with singles then with robusto blends, taste is fine nevertheless

I believe I misunderstood what you meant by "singles". I thought you meant "single shots" (i.e. ~9g of coffee per shot) but you meant single origin coffees.

SO's generally have higher density, giving them a lower total surface area per gram from which to extract goodness. I normally compensate by grinding finer, but you can also add more coffee if there's enough room in your filter basket. Let your taste buds guide you

If I could make one change or idea for the IH product line I would make the 3 different snaps, especially the black ones and the white ones available or standard option on all Work shirts. Jealous of the availability on Westerns but not Work shirts. Most guys love the Western cut but for the short stalky guys the Work shirt is the way to go but the snaps are not offered on most products. Just something on my wish list.

I don't know how this would work, but I agree. Button holes stretch which has been an issue given how small IH buttons are in relation to the holes. I'd much prefer snaps on most work shirts.

This is a The Barn brazilian single. Taste is great but I don’t get any noteworthy crema with single roasts… any idea/advice?

I don't have much experience pulling singles, but it might be that your puck is not allowing enough back pressure to build. Maybe grind finer or distribute the grounds in the filter better?

That said, my advice on crema: if the shot tastes good, don't overthink it. Crema tastes awful, anyway. Try skimming it off with a spoon and you'll see what I mean.
