yup. Hes right. I was thinking about getting some protection and went to morgan@viberg for suggestions. He said it wasn't necessary but if I wanted it done he'd suggest getting it professionally sprayed and cautioned that it would matte down the suede a bit even after brushing. I didn't do it. And…... hello new boots, welcome to the family! These babies are just awesome.
After I ordered them, the guy who was packing them up noticed a slight scratch on the right boot upper outside quarter - so he eMailed me and offered to take $100 off! Viberg is all Aces in my book - the products and the service.
Now I need to find some green laces - they came with brown flat laces and leather.

Mijama - Two questions: What width are your Indy boots and what last are your Boondockers on? My Vibergs arrived today and width-wise the 2045 last compares well to the Trubalance in D width. Consensus seems to be that the 2030 last also corresponds with the same size in Trubalance D but we all have different feet.
sorry for the late reply. My boots are a D width, and my Boondockers are on the 110 – at least i think its a 110. Gotta see if i can dig up the box.

Finally crumbled and bought the Boondockers. Took the same size as my Alden trubalance last and Trickers 4444 last. Fingers crossed it works out.
hmm. i have an Alden Indy in the TB and its much more comfortable for me because of the wider last – i found the Boondocker a little slimmer. anyway, i hope they work out for you.
honestly - its my favorite summer boot. Even if they get more shelf time this year with a wet summer, youll have 9+ other years to enjoy them.

I like the waxed cotton a lot, don't need to break them in. I just love the way the natural side of the leather makes the natural sole/heel pop out. It's all in the details

honestly, the 1 & only apprehension i have that's preventing me from pulling the trigger are the leather soles …. 'just could never get used to them. but, if they're EXACTLY like the soles on the 8" ENGINEER BLACK [Japanese] HORSEHIDE__ ie, Cat's Paw half-soles, i'm mosdef on board.
