Thought I'd just add a few more reference type pictures of wear to this shirt. Had it about 6 months, looking at around 60-70 wears I guess, no wash (always over 2 layers and in winter) bit of airing every now and then outside. It's really hard to get pictures with good colour reference. Also as noted earlier, this shirt does not like stubble and will fluff up on the collar where it rubs.

Figured I'd add another couple of pics as a sort of 6 month wear reference. Worn pretty much daily, not washed yet

  • Dogleap Boots

Having recently received my custom Dogleap Chillinghams I think Dogleap ought to have a bit of a mention here as a small UK bootmaker. They are based up in Newcastle, but there isn't too much about them other than their website. They make a stunning boot!

    Dogleap Boots

Fully hand made and so plenty of customisation possible. They were happy to make my pair with leather that I supplied. I don't have much experience with higher end footwear. I have a couple of pairs of Red Wings but the Dogleaps make them look like something you might pick up in Primark, there really is no comparison.

How about something along these lines? This is a Studio D'Artisan d5701 shirt (basically new).. 12.8oz denim with natural indigo dye. I know IH has the lighter chambray shirts but thought a lighter coloured medium weight denim shirt might be an idea. Maybe offer more tonal variation to the normal heavy indigo dyeing and overdyeing?

@Oaktavia No worries.. that's exactly what I use the forum for really is seeing what the garments might look like after a while so the more references the better!

@Oaktavia I was thinking to do so around the 6 month mark but in truth they just don't really need it. I guess all my wear coming over the winter probably helps. They don't smell at all, any bits of dirt or mud spatter from watching my kids play rugby just crumbles away fairly quickly so a wash hasn't seemed that necessary yet. Also it seems that the wear marks/fades seem to be accelerating now. Kind of like you need to break the back of them and then things really start to change.. I didn't really notice a huge amount of difference at all for the first 4 months or so, though that is partly because you just get used to what they look like currently rather than what they were to start

@Tobi I've only just got them but they are seriously comfortable too already.. fully lined with a poron insole and the tongue also has padding to it. The Kudu leather i gave them to use is also really quite soft, from how they feel already I don't envisage any real break in issues either.. they truly are stunning..

There are proper pics up of them on their Instagram account, but I can't seem to link it here. Can get there through their website easily enough though link text
