not sure if anyone may have any input, but when it comes time to condition these, if I decided to use a Saphir product, I am trying to tell which color they offer most closely matches these. I am leaning towards the mahogany, but the medium brown is also a contender... any thoughts?

so I am going to experiement with the Saphir creme surfine in brown, it looks like a pretty good color match. I will post updates once I try it out

Took them out for a day in the snow with my son today. Really been enjoying wearing these considering I almost exclusively wear engineers. The toe area took a beating and a lot of the brown kind of wore down revealing the leather a bit more. Curious to see how they’ll age and patina

Also a fan of the double ball chains but I’ve cut both of mine down. Also little update on the pendant situation. Got the little disc added to the chain with my sons name

@northsouthdenimguy I was SO excited, and then saw the second email and was ready to pay...

@northsouthdenimguy I agree my expectations are lower for MTO, BUT on the website it says “delivery by end of November at the latest” so that kind of sets an expectation. I work in customer service and sales in a different industry, and I tend to live by, “under promise, over deliver.”

I’m just really wanting to finally have it. I know it’ll be worth the wait.

does anyone have any examples of how this leather ages? it seems that it will likely patina fairly quickly at least from abrasions and such, but does it get darker with time/wear? I am just new to this leather

@Ross do you know if it’s some sort of aniline dye on the leather that gives it that glossy effect? Seems like with scuffs it’ll come off to show the vegetable tanned leather underneath?

@denami exactly, there wasnt really anything else said in the email... its also funny because his actual team of employees are actually SUPER nice and their customer service is great. Mike just seems kind of to the point, no fluff

@Northman yeah they shrink considerably. I’m between 2 and 3xl because of my chest and shoulders. I got 3xl and did a super hot soak/hot wash/hot machine dry and it shrank a good amount. I don’t have exact dimensions but it definitely shrank

@Ross boots came and they’re incredible. Perfect fit. One question I have and not sure if anyone might know, but even out of the box there are creases on both toe areas. It seems like even on the stock photos they are there also. Any idea what that’s from? It doesn’t really matter to me but was just curious if anyone knew or had any thoughts

@SonnyTheElder the last indigo sashiko im pretty certain they had some extras pop up in the site and then they also had seconds pop up on the site. I remember because I was thinking about doubling up

@northsouthdenimguy yeah i saw that but thats still kind of vague, and that was a message from them from about 2 weeks ago. i am just hoping it comes sooner than later

@Northman definitely, i love that its a small company, and they make awesome stuff. I love buying from them. Its just if they set a date on something, id kind of expect some sort of updates if its not going to fall in the advertised timeline, mainly referring to the sashiko as I know the kristofferson they said mid decemberish

anyone else reach out or hear anything about black sashiko ori delivery or kristofferson jackets? A little disappointing that there havent been any updates on the sashiko when the order page said delivery by end of november at the latest.

edit: and also just to state, I am completely ok with delays and waiting, just wish there was a little information about a timeline

@Ross ordered the 10.5d, now we wait and see. cant wait to get these in hand, been checking for restocks forever. they just look insanely nice

@Ross I havent tried any of the Wesco lace ups so just wasnt sure, but I guess we will see
