Very pleased with the fit. Waist and length both shrunk about 1” after soak. Tag size 33 that was 34.9” Pre-soak and hemmed to 31” by IH. Post soak waist is 33.9” and length is 30.25”. Looking forward to how they fade.

Just got my size 33 pair yesterday and immediately did a warm soak for an hour. Looking forward to wearing these soon (after they dry and I clean the indigo from the shower).

Got me a pair for Denim World Championship 2020. Right? Gonna happen? @giles
I know, I know, that was so 2015. And these are not heavyweight. Forgive me for thinking about every new pair of jeans as my contest jeans. These fit really nice. I grabbed a pair of 34’s and I’ll post pics soon
You can try and pull it through with one of these….

I was too curious after this post so I ordered both. The needle pushed it through on the first try. Thanks @Giles, that’s a handy trick.
@Giles I’ll keep it there if it won’t hurt anything.
@manufc10 Thanks man, I found the belt at a saddle craftsman booth in a local fair. Thick full grain leather so I bought three colors from him. Unfortunately I don’t have any contact info. Vans have been my shoe of choice since high school, however I don’t skate as much as I used to… Those are my house shoes.
Sounds like the nubbins are pretty common so I’ll just chalk it up as a beauty mark.
I had to do one more hot soak for two hours to get these guys down to where I needed. Very comfy fit to these jeans. I found a nubbin in the weave on the left knee right where a lot of fade will happen. I don't know if it is a flaw that will fail or just some extra slub. Compared to last DWC UHR , these were easier to manipulate and shrank a lot more.
Missed the preorder but scored a pair of 34" 888 NT during Iron Heart's amazing Xmas sale! Here are the raw fit pics along with my tried and true soaking process that controls the twist (1 hour warm soak). The folding pattern seems to keep the seams lined up while the thread and water does it's thing. I did this with my pair of last season's IH DWC and had no leg twist while maximizing the shrink. (It has worked with my other other unsanforized brands as well). Measured the inseam and they shrunk 2.5". Perfect! Waiting for them to dry a little more before the first wear. Can't wait after seeing all your evo pics!

Awesome pictures guys! That is quite an extensive holiday Louis! Here are some fit pics of my IHDWC Contest jeans that I have pretty much worn every day since May. One hot soak and first cold wash on New Years.
Has anyone else had problems with going through airport security with your heavyweights on? I can see the X-ray when I go through and I have had problems two times now where it looks like I have metal plates in my front pockets area. Of course they want to take a closer look, so I have held up the line while hundreds of people watch me get manhandled as they try to find something metal in the front of my pants… Of course they don't send the hot lady security guard to do it (if one exists). I was wondering if there is any traces of metal in the fibers of the pockets. I wore my sweat pants on the return flight today...
Here is the progress of my pair. 1 cold soak and 1 hot soak to get the size right. Had to use Obenauf oil on the patch after it became hard as a rock. These have been to two beer festivals, four states, brewed 3 beers, one tattoo and one minor motorcycle spill (not alcohol related fyi).
Cheers!

Just curious what the maximum shrinkage on these jeans are? I followed the instructions that came with the jeans and now after 12 wears they have stretched out to original size. I could use them a little smaller and I am contemplating a real hot soak. Has anyone else noticed this and what were your solutions?
Update 5-25-15: Hot soaked for 1.5 hours and hung dry with a piece of wood in the waist to hold the fit where I wanted it. Jeans have now shrunk total 1.5 inches in the waist and 3 inches in the inseam from Raw to now. Hope this helps others out.
Well Crowbar, you can add Jean-blog motivational speaker to your list of skills! Keep on keeping it real and have fun… well... until the pigs come marching!
Thanks Giles, wasn't sure if they would still qualify for Middleweight class in the DWC.
What is the end weight of the 18oz after wash?
Mine measured 35" inside the material, today they feel MUCH better. These are going to be perfect and I advise anyone who goes through the painful squeeze of a first fit that it will be fine.
Yeah, Day one and I am getting a lot of movement in these. No chaffing and I can lift my legs easily. The buttons are a breeze, so it looks like the coins worked out perfectly. They stretched out to over 34 now (tag size 34), so this denim likes to move! My inseam shrank 1.5″ and the alterations left me with a perfect cuff and stack. Thank’s Matt! I probably could have done a 33 if I was going for the super slim, squished in your jeans look, but I never got into that style (I’m a product of 90’s America). These are a perfect relaxed fit that I can work in now so I am curious if there is more stretch to come?
@Megatron1505. They shrunk over 2inches in the waist??
10:30 pm my reaction was: “Oh boy… They are measuring in at 33″ in the waist! Not dry yet!”
11:30 pm: I put them on damp and they stretched right out to just under 34″. Forgot to keep in mind that these are so thick that you have to account for the side fabric when you try to measure flat.
