My 888 UHRs started to develop some holes in the crotch so while I  send them off for repair i figured i would switch back to my TW 634N Unfortunatley, after the 888s they just didn't feel right. TJ at the shop in Vancouver sorted me out quick. These feel amazing right out of the gate and i can't wait to see how they age. Hopefully one of these days I'll get around to some better photos

The new instinct is lots of fun Jii! You're going to love it. If I wasn't a sadist punishing myself on an element it's the bike I'd be on for sure

Excuse the bare feet and hillarious 9 inch cuffs, but I just got these in today and even though I couldnt be bothered to do up anymore than the top button and they felt like wearing a carpet I can already tell that these are going to be my favourite jeans ever. I've dreamed about a cut like this for such a long time. Thank you

I have been away from the forum for awhile and had no idea that this cut now existed or that there was more UHR to be had. I saw this thread the other night and realised that these were coming out in a few hours. Best rash decision I've made this week. I'd give it longer….But I'm pretty impulsive and it generally turns out well. So excited to get these, the measurements look like a dream and I've always wanted this denim. Did it end up being bronze hardware?

Hey Mitchell thanks! Was certainly a full morning uploading everything but at least it's warm now! The shop is in North Van at 180 Donaghy, in behind capilano mall. Be sure to let me know if you stop by!

I'll send the ducks off to @streetshark later this week then as today is a holiday and I'm leaving for Portland tomorowb before the sun is up! Pretty rad that they'll be going for one side of the country to the other!

And last but certainly not least a post wash update on where the ducks stand! They are looking pretty damn good and are still holding up really well structurally for how much they've gone through. Not even really a sign of any holes yet other than the hidden rivets starting to peak which just looks badass. The different hues of blue and white really need to be seen to be appreciated and the patch is looking unreal. I'm going down to Portland this week to see the war on drugs and eat too much food, if they are going to someone in the states now I'll take them down and send them off so there's no mess around with customs and huge delay with the border. I'll probably throw up some photos of some Portland stuff in here as well as a bonus for taking so long!

    • RE: DOUBLE DUCK 634 WORLD TOUR

We are opening a new retail space and eatery this Friday so the last few pics are of our new dry age room. Some photos from brewery and the beast Vancouver (which I sadly did not attend this summer) and some new kitchen porn. The last photo is our signature dry aged cheeseburger. Which I think has too much lettuce on it even if the food photographer disagrees. It's not that much lettuce for real. Come by if you are on Vancouver ! You'll see me in a little glass box most likely wearing a 107, 127 or 86! I'd love to come out and chat.

At some point I went by and saw TJ at The Shop in Vancouver. If you are in town make sure you swing by. TJ is giving brands like Iron Heart , The Flat Head , Stevenson, Sugar Cane Mister Freedom, Nine Lives , Gladhand &CO and many more representation in Canada, not to mention he is just an awesome guy.  TJ took this picture of me looking oddly serious in front of The Shop(perhaps because it was really really really hot)

      A nice view of Vancouver

I finished a Mt Seymour darkside lap on Canada Day  down in deep cove and went for a swim here

And spent the afternoon at third beach enjoying some beers and views with friends

Big smooth, a classic North Shore feature on Mt Fromme, a portrait, and some action

And a not so classic, but rad new feature on the rad new Boogie Nights Trail on Seymour

Went biking at some point there in Mission BC, out in the Fraser Valley. Getting out of the city is nice

My friend Jen raced her first full summer as a pro on the bc enduro series this summer and was lucky enough to score an invite to her first Enduro World Series event in Whistler. I went up for the weekend to cook all the meals for her and her partner/mechanic and also my good friend JF. I also found some time to ride bikes and drink beer with JF. Jen came a very respectable 25th and breached the top 20 on the ridiculously technical / terrifying in the dry dusty conditions second stage. One of the lines she took in practice on stage 2 wasnt even getting touched by some of the guys . This was august, unfortunately too hot to wear the ducks. Those are the self edge / sugar cane 11oz okis

At some point after that I cooked this 2.5 pound bone in ribeye after a bike ride with some friends. Up to 125 in a 250F oven and then seared HARD over the chimney starter

I also took a picture of this order I cut for a local resturant , so why not

    • RE: DOUBLE DUCK 634 WORLD TOUR

Oh hey! It's the actual pants were here to see! After getting home I almost immediately headed up to Pemberton for my companies annual staff camping trip at our original farm

Excuse the terrible hat, I don't wear hats in the summer, so I just grabbed something from Canadian tire on the way. The weather up there was wild. Shorts and t-shirts and swimming in the river during the day and ducks and a UHF as soon as the sun was going down. We all got there late Friday afternoon(about 40 of us total) and proceeded to get far too intoxicated as people who work in food  tend to do. The guys in the photo with me are two of my fellow butchers and good friends who I've spent the last 18 months with, hanging out in a fridge breaking beef and pork and listening to music/being innapropriate.

We started put Saturday morning slow with coffee and some breakfast sandwiches but quickly found our pace (started drinking again) and we soon got down to the river to start cooking the nights dinner and make some tacos for lunch. Our sales team(one of whom spent a couple years living and cooking in Mexico) put in a huge effort making all the pickles , salsa, hot sauces and meats. We had marinated skirt steak and mole pulled chicken thighs and the tortillas came from one of Vancouver's Mexican restaurants who make their own Masa. A pretty good start to the day. Dinner was Two bone in sirloin butts. Which include the top sirloin and the coulotte/pichana. Along with some smoked chicken , and a  ton of raclette cheese cooked on cast iron over the fire. Shortly after eating the night descended into madness. Fortunately we had a good late night snack.

I then finally went back to work and cut way too many bison for a person that had that much fun over the weekend

So hey, here is my updated after much delay. I only use my phone for internet access, so I've been dreading doing all of this , but it's a holiday Monday, I'm enjoying a nice coffee and some great music (flying lotus - lovers melt 2 mix) so I'm going to power through it. Sorry that there won't be a ton of photos of me in the ducks here, it was really really really hot in the PNW this summer. I mostly just ride bikes, eat food and drink beer. I also work as a butcher for q company called two rivers. We supply most of BCs finer resturants with all manner of meats, fresh sausage and charcuterie.

Okay, to start off here are the bikes in started and finished the tour with. Both in the obligatory standing on their own fashion in a couple of iconic spots in mountain biking on Mt Seymour in North Van. First bike is the old Rocky Mountain Altitude and new one is the new Rocky Mountain Element, cause little bikes are more fun.

Right after getting the ducks I went home to Ontario for a quick trip to see family and go to Do Make Say Thinks record release/first headlining show in 5 years.

The woods at 3 stage just outside of Collingwood. This is where I started biking 17 years ago

Last few photos were the unassuming but great pork buns at momofuku along with the oasthouse collab peach beer. The other two are of the dry age room of cumbraes on queen. Without a doubt Ontario's best butcher shops, they have a few locations in Toronto and have been around forever

After finishing up downtown I headed west into little Italy and hit up the new volo. Their original location on yonge was one of the first if not the first speciality beer bars in Canada and it was certainly the best. They got shifted by their landlord so the shit pub/cafe next door could expand into their space. Thankfully their new location is even better. I had a couple local ontario beers and then indulged in their special bottle event and had the crooked stave persecia and the 2015 almanac dogpaatch grand cru. Both were fantastic. After that I went to burdock on bloor, just a quick walk away where I tried a couple of their beers along with their fantastic in house made sourdough.

After all that beer I needed food, so I enjoyed a nice walk into Kensington market to queue up at seven lives tacos. It was very hard to walk past AF1 Caribbean , but I really like tacos.

After that I walked over the show at the Danforth music hall, where I proceeded to take no photos hahha. Then I went home. In between I cooked a full beef tenderloin on the bbq for my parents brother and aunts at home in collingwood. But someone managed to take no pictures in the excitement of the day. I got very lucky with a full row to myself for the flight back home to the mountains

After I got home my mom sent me this photo from blue mountain just outside of Collingwood where I snowboarded and rode bikes growing up…..Can you tell they got alot of rain through the spring and into the early summer?

Where are you at in Canada man? Would love to pass them off to someone close by but will defer to @spitfiredealer as there are a few people ahead in the lineup. I'll try to get some photos up tonight, but unfortunately I'll be a bit of a let down after Mitchell
