I was away overnight with work. When I came home today, Ziggy didn’t want to let me go too far!!
Another Ziggy here!
Friday is his day for coming in to the office with me.
Viberg service boot, ih 634 ib
Both at the start of the evolution journey!
My collection, left to right:
Cheaney chukka Mahogany grain; Viberg Service boot #8 cxl (new boots, I blame browsing this forum for this purchase !!); RM Williams Blaxland chestnut yearling; RMWilliams comfort craftsman chocolate kangaroo; Blundstones; Altberg Farmington hiking boots.
Onlooker is Ziggy, wondering why I’m wasting time taking pictures of boots instead wearing them and taking him out!!
Not sure if this should go in here or the ‘Pets’ forum
Viberg service boot #8 CXL and a bored Ziggy!
Hi, a bit of a delayed introduction considering I registered on the forum in November!
Live in Mid Wales, my first foray into Japanese selvedge was around 9 years ago with a pair of Hiut’s. Liked that they were made in Wales and the back story with the factory. Ended up with some more black Japanese selvedge Hiut jeans.
The ‘made in Japan’ journey started with a couple of pairs of The Real McCoy Joe McCoy chinos and a 9oz hoodie.
My first Iron Heart was a pair of 634 ib in November (actually, my very first pair was a 666 in i/I but that was swapped for the 634 as the fit felt better).
This was then followed by registering with the forum and losing myself in a world of possibilities, which has the potential to be very expensive!!
I treated myself to a natural cordovan wallet in December, my only other IH purchase being the IHSH 412 Black.
Looking at either a 634 in non fade black or the brown duck next, as they would do for work, not sure which would be best; but a UHF shirt would be good as well, and a, well there is a lot of ‘ands’ really !!
Thanks @SKT and @ZackB , Mr Z was pleased I’m keeping it as well as he had the packaging to destroy!!
@will6er that might have to be my backup plan!
With thanks to the IH crew for answering my sizing queries, especially Alex Bailey who replied on a Sunday! I’ve had my first type 3 jacket ( well, first since the late 80’s anyway!)
As I had nothing comparable to measure against, was not sure between the M or L. The only other IH top I have is the IHSH 412 BLK in a M.
Listening to Alex’s advice I went with a L, thinking I will have room to layer and I’m so glad I did. Actually not sure if a XL would be better? (Which is really odd feeling for someone who usually chooses a ‘S’!)
I have to open the cuffs to get my hands in sleeves, feels comfy with just a T shirt, think it will be ok with a hoody, especially if it’s not fastened.
Opinions on fit would be appreciated, thanks.
Thanks for confirming. The ‘standard’ 32 measurement looked ideal for me so, hopefully, will be ok.
Looking forward to next week to have them but not looking forward to explaining to my better half why another pair of iron heart bottoms have arrived in less than 2 weeks since the 634sb !!

My old one first, and now its replacement. The dog needed a bigger space!
I like the numberplate!

So does the Manthey
And the Manthey would have a built in heat source underneath the picnic bench to keep the pizza warm!

I totally agree with you . Went back to try it on again and it just felt so ‘right’.
Thanks ️
Arrived today, my first ih shirt, (though something tells me it might not be my last!)
Only one query is should I have gone for a L not a M? Feels good but slightly snugger than I expected.
Thanks to the IH crew for helping with my sizing queries and for measuring and finding a ‘small’ tag 32 for me. New sizing very similar to the tag31 634 S 142ib I have. Think I will need to get it hemmed but will wear it for a while and let it settle first.
