Hi all. New here and mostly researching the forum up until this point. I’ve worn raw denim a long time and old enough to have bought original STF Levis in the eighties. I’ve been on a fitness/weight loss journey and now rewarding myself with some nice clothing. I’ve always loved military/western/workwear clothing, watches, boots, etc. Fly fishing is my main hobby these days (especially saltwater given the opportunity) and canoeing with my best friend. Music lover and hack mandolin player.

Let’s see some of that Christmas haul! I’m excited about this pair.

I have one of these in size Large. It fits really well with just a t-shirt, but slight too snug for anything more (mainly due to the snugness of the forearms).
Do most of the other heavy weight hoodies have a similar fit in the forearms? I don’t own a hoodie yet and would like to layer a long sleeve shirt underneath with ease. Any fit notes would be appreciated.

I have a XL in the original whipcord version. I’m 6’ 175 and could probably fit into a Large with no problem, but the XL gives plenty of room for layering. I can wear a Dehen sweater underneath and still not feel constricted. I would love to try a Large (mine was a eBay purchase at a great prices)but given your height and weight and wanting to layer, I think the Xl would work well. I’m finding the shoulder measurements to be one of the more critical measurements for me to be comfortable in IH.

Is there an internal cuff? I know the M-65 didn’t have one and it’s had to tell from the photo that was just posted.

I am really tempted by this release and curious if someone could help with a question?
I have a whipcord A2 (non-oiled) and would like to hear from someone with both a A2 and N1 as to how much warmer the N1 is in comparison.

My A2 is a Xl and fits great in the shoulders, while being a little boxy and wide throughout. I could probably fit into a Large quite easily, but don’t mind a little extra room. I have the lightweight deck jacket in Large and it would be perfect if I had just a little extra room in the shoulders. It is fine with just a light layer or sweater….but I would still love an extra inch in shoulder.

Based off the lightweight N1 in Large I am thinking I should go with a XL in the N1? The 19” shoulder measurement scares me a little as it is the same as the lightweight N1. I’m 6’ 175 with broader shoulders.

I managed to find on of these on eBay and immediately pulled the BIN price and have had my fingers that the Large would work. It came in today and is perfect…if I could have a wee bit extra in the shoulder it would be even better but sizing up would be way too big if I went up to a XL. I can wear a Dehen cardigan underneath so I think I should be good for whatever the weather throws at me. This is an awesome jacket and in hardly worn condition. As a big fan a MASH growing up, this one just puts a smile on my face.
