@Mizmazzle , but possibly all too true!

RE: IRON HEART WAYWT - 2025 EDITION
@seawolf thanks, but perhaps you forgot that most Brits have a passable line in self- deprecation! I’m always happy to fly the flag for Ruarri and the musical reference fits the context. I’ve got no qualms about joining in the fun here.

@neph93 thanks! A Reuben upvote always makes me happy, although I tend to identify more with “geek without style”!

RE: IRON HEART WAYWT - 2025 EDITION
It’s been a while since I did one of these and cooler weather at least allows me to think I’m doing something vaguely interesting – 526J-SLBod, Dubbleworks, 634S-A.

RE: Live Concerts
@Aetas it was part of a long speech delivered (obviously) through a vocoder.
Chameleon was definitely one of those “now I can die happy” moments (planning on sticking around though as I’ve got some fun stuff booked for later this year)!

RE: Live Concerts
I never thought I’d actually get to see Herbie Hancock perform but I caught the last of his three nights at the Barbican this evening. Not sure I’m completely on board with the “robots and AI are our children and we’ve got to be kind to them” thing but all in all it was a great night. They finished with Chameleon which was amazing!

RE: GOOD ART HLYWD - A Gallery
@pechelman very nice! Definitely curious about this one – hopefully some will make it to UK retailers.

RE: IRON HEART WAYWT - 2025 EDITION
@neph93 confirms my suspicions that your posts are usually worth waiting for!

RE: The Iron Heart Baltimore Bash - September 18, 19 & 20, 2026
@Giles it will likely be the people that tip the balance, food and drink is a bonus. Anyway I’ve got over a year to make my mind up / get organised.

RE: The Iron Heart Baltimore Bash - September 18, 19 & 20, 2026
Travelling about 3600 miles for a drink sounds nuts but I’m thinking about it! Maybe the question is, can I survive two years without seeing @matt?

RE: Hard Drinkers, Lets Drink Hard (Spirits, Liquors and Cocktails)
@Tago-Mago but as we discovered last night no
- borderline criminal (of course I’ve done it myself, though)!

RE: Music
@Matt I was waiting for someone to say this – we can always rely on you to deliver!

RE: Random Announcements
A colleague asked me today for “the name of the clothing company I like” – apparently her husband needs some new jeans. Not sure if it will lead to anything, but it’s the first time this has happened to me. I only get to wear jeans to the office 2 or 3 times a year, so they must have made an impression!

@tody it’s you!

RE: Unpopular opinions
@Bridger said in Unpopular opinions:
Glad I am not the only weirdo around here
I suspect we all are, but in different ways. Maybe that’s what keeps this place interesting!
-
RE: Unpopular opinions
@Bridger, I grew up wearing “proper” shoes so trainers always feel a bit weird in everyday life. I do have two pairs of canvas shoes (Moonstar and North Sea Clothing) for summer use but I still mostly wear leather shoes/boots.
Supplementary unpopular opinion: comfort is overrated – a certain degree of suffering should be tolerated if you want to look good! Some might say I need to suffer more

RE: Simmons Bilt
@NorvilleRogers the jacket looks good on the hanger but it’s a jacket, not a decorative item. You know what you have to do!
I’ve not had your issue exactly, but @pechelman could well have the answer. I have sometimes thought that a special item deserves a proper launch rather than being slipped unobtrusively into my rotation. Set the day, enjoy the jacket, and if you’re so minded share pics here!
