Chameleon was definitely one of those “now I can die happy” moments (planning on sticking around though as I’ve got some fun stuff booked for later this year)!

I never thought I’d actually get to see Herbie Hancock perform but I caught the last of his three nights at the Barbican this evening. Not sure I’m completely on board with the “robots and AI are our children and we’ve got to be kind to them” thing but all in all it was a great night. They finished with Chameleon which was amazing!

@Giles it will likely be the people that tip the balance, food and drink is a bonus. Anyway I’ve got over a year to make my mind up / get organised.

Travelling about 3600 miles for a drink sounds nuts but I’m thinking about it! Maybe the question is, can I survive two years without seeing @matt?

A colleague asked me today for “the name of the clothing company I like” – apparently her husband needs some new jeans. Not sure if it will lead to anything, but it’s the first time this has happened to me. I only get to wear jeans to the office 2 or 3 times a year, so they must have made an impression!

I suspect we all are, but in different ways. Maybe that’s what keeps this place interesting!

@Bridger, I grew up wearing “proper” shoes so trainers always feel a bit weird in everyday life. I do have two pairs of canvas shoes (Moonstar and North Sea Clothing) for summer use but I still mostly wear leather shoes/boots.

Supplementary unpopular opinion: comfort is overrated – a certain degree of suffering should be tolerated if you want to look good! Some might say I need to suffer more

@NorvilleRogers the jacket looks good on the hanger but it’s a jacket, not a decorative item. You know what you have to do!

I’ve not had your issue exactly, but @pechelman could well have the answer. I have sometimes thought that a special item deserves a proper launch rather than being slipped unobtrusively into my rotation. Set the day, enjoy the jacket, and if you’re so minded share pics here!
