It just arrived. Feel is very soft, light yet substantial. And agree with @ARNC, it is more ivory than cold white. Quick and dirty fit pic:

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of the 7oz soft flannel – it would be great to see some new colours next year.

This is my first IH “soft” flannel shirt and I am amazed at how UTTERLY SOFT it really feels like….dreamy soft!
Just finished quickly counting 37 IH shirts in my closet and nothing comes remotely close to equalling the butter softness of the 279!!
If anyone else here is a sucker for this quality in a shirt, try to find one of these.
Anyone else own the 279 and know of other IH shirts with same soft cotton (excluding the blue version of this one)? I’d be very interested.

@motojobobo I have the black iteration of that shirt. In terms of softness, the 9oz ombré flannels come close.
