COME TO PAPA!..

So I'm an idiot. But I realized that I can't stand the FH 3001 jeans – because of the zipper. I love the fit but the zipper drove me fucking nuts. I'm a button-fly girl (in the name of DChill). I ended up giving those up for free to my (Brazilian) housekeeper's 14-year-old daughter -- who's gorgeous and very tall, very thin. So LandoCal, rest assured -- this girl won't have to wear huge cuffs like me ! Yeah, I lost $180 but I learned a valuable lesson. Say "NO" to zippers ! I had to be honest with myself...the whole day long, while wearing the jeans -- all I could think about was the zipper and whether it was staying up (it most definitely was staying up !! ) Finally I thought, these jeans are not fun to wear – since while wearing them -- I worry about the zipper all day. I know...I'm weird. From now on folks, it's button-fly all the way.

I get all OCD about zippers. No good.. and also sucks because I had hoped to amass an army of Superblacks…..

Damn good job I didn't have the 4001's then. You could keep your eye our for a pair of S5001LTD. Same cut, but in 14oz selvedge and with a button fly. I have a few pairs here but none left in shub-size..G

I've got 32s and 34s left with button fly, you'll just have to shrink or expand to suit….G

The first ones I bought were 32's- too big. They're destined for some re-purposing I think… Maybe I'll make some chaps out of them

Guys…thank you for all your support. Giles, no shit man -- glad you didn't have the 4001s. I can't believe how OCD I am ! I never even realized this about myself...till I gave zippers a try. Nah -- I wouldn't even go for the SuperBlack in a zipper. No fucking way ! I'm sooo sad that those SuperBlack bootcuts from Giles ended up too tight. I wanted to "collect" another pair -- though I hardly needed them -- because they're obsolete. Giles -- if you can convince Haraki-San to rethink his decision...seriously, please ! But, to be honest -- Yolanda (the 14-year-old girl) is very poor...her Mom is an immigrant house-cleaner (she's been with me for 5 years -- I LOVE HER). The girl won't know the difference but these FH jeans are likely the nicest jeans Yolanda will ever own for many years. Now, I've told her mom (my housekeeper) -- "your daughter should go into modeling". She's seriously a looker (tall, slender, Brazilian bombshell -- think Bar Rafaeli, Leonardo DiCaprio's on-again/off-again)...in which case, if Yolanda becomes a model, she'll be able to afford all the high end denim her heart could ever desire !

lol. sounds pretty cool, but I don´t have enough legs for another serious battle. The sexih07 year is still on (end of December) and on top of that I have a feeling that my next pair might be one of the new fits….
