not sure where to post this as its more of a story i want to share then an announcement.
A story only denim lovers will understand

in thousands upon thousand meters of fabrics [shirting] that's woven for me
from this mill [in Japan] this has only happened once.

this is what happened:

A phone call from japan asking me if a brake in one of the rolls is going to be a problem [eg. a 100m will consist of two length of fabric instead of one]

my answer was no but was curious to know why and it was due to a "slub" in the fabric. In the world of fine shirting/suiting this is coincided a fault. to us denim heads, a thing of beauty

i immediately asked "HAVE YOU CUT THE FABRIC YET!"
he answered no so i asked for the slub to be cut out with 1.5 meter of fabric either side.
as i was to make a shirt for myself with this piece of fabric. this slub was cut strategically so it sits on my left shoulder, even though no one would ever notice it i wear it proudly like a badge
