My baby-making renaissance continues! New addition to the family due in March. I'll only be 43. Still room for a few more, right? [emoji4]. I'm currently seeking confirmation from management that this "strategic" development will not affect my clothing budget [emoji1]
Mate, congratulations! You dont hang around eh?

My fifth (or sixth if you don't count DNA and do count parenting duties)! My oldest Sydney is 18 and lives in the UK. Then Ingrid and I have four boys between us, Noah (13) and Sebastian (9) (from my first marriage) and Alfred (1) plus my "bonus" son Jesper (14) and one more on the way. It's all very Scandinavian (and strangely Catholic at the same time
).
Oh yeah, we have a dog too.

Glad to hear it mate! Having a family is a beautiful thing.
Plus blood does not matter in the slightest in my opinion. The person who puts the time in and does the job, or tries to, counts imo. Im adopted but my dad, who I am not related to biologically, is absolutely my dad!

It really is a wonderful thing. And I agree totally. Jesper came into my life with Ingrid when he was 9 and I stepped into bonus dad role. He's great. I just concentrate on filling the hole and repairing the damage left by his dick of a biological father. We all have a lot of fun together, although it does get busy [emoji1]

Congratulations Neph, you're certainly collecting children! :o
Yes I am. At the risk of sounding cheesy/stating the obvious, I consider it a privilege to know and help raise them all. Also with all this selfish millennial types giving up on the human race, someone needs to make the babies [emoji6]

You decided on a bike yet? The XSR700, Scrambler Sixty2 and baby Street Triple look interesting.

yeah i did have a look online on the street triple 660 LAMS. i was actually thinking of the LAMS version of the 659 monster. but i'll probably have to wait around next year before i've enough to get it. (provided i put my car project on hold) second hand market for that range about 7-9k. or my other option would be getting a ninja 250 (around 1.8-2k) for now as a weekend bike, which i could get by the end of the year… considering 1year from now i'll be taking my full license and i see my end target as a s1000rr..

oh and i think the new £5 note is absolutely beautiful!!!

The KTM RC390 might be another consideration. They're selling for $5K to $6K new, I think that a new model is coming.
Longer term, the super nakeds such as the Aprilia Tuono, BMW S1000R, KTM Super Duke, and Yamaha MT10 could be alternatives to the S1000RR. I think that part of it is down to the perceived risk of an accident, but also that the plastics on a sports bike are easily damaged, and expensive to replace.
The seating position will be easier for longer rides too.
Plus I think that a few people said that the S1000R was actually quicker on the road because of having more torque through the rev range.
