I've begun restoring two old sewing machines that I've had for a while out in the garage.  Yesterday, I looked up their serial numbers online to get information for parts. One was manufactured in 1904, the other in 1892.  Both still work just fine.  I love well made things.

And because I have poor impulse control, I bought another sewing machine.  This one is "new", built in 1930.  It's the same model as my 1904 machine, a Singer 31-15.  I wanted it because it has the original cast iron stand, which is cool as hell.  A couple of the parts are rusty and it has a godawful amount of lint and cat hair inside, but it runs phenomenally.  I might be in love.

No way! White chocolate is king. The reason I don't buy other is because I allways eat all of it in the shortest possible time.

New guy at work quit. Let's just no one was really disappointed with his decision… I am taking over his function til my piglet returns to work in April (maternal leave)... It will take my mind of how much I miss her  BUT: mo' money bitches!.. The equivalent of an IH shirt/ month giveth or taketh...
