The rains have begun…The Bay Area Winter has reared her pretty head early this year. We barely had a summer to speak of. I pretty much lived in my IH shirt jackets & IH denim jacket all year long...it was too cold to be anywhere without 'em ! I love the rains though, so I ain't complaining. Hope ya'll are having a great day. In about an hour, I've got to take Lacy down to her annual vet appointment. Cost ? Around $350 -- which includes all her vaccinations, 6-months worth of HeartGard (monthly heartworm pills), 6-months worth of Advantage Plus (flea/tick preventative), as well as annual dog licensing fees. She's now 10 years old !

dead – you said it bro. "...chill and adorable..." is what Lacy is, exactly. She's s-o-o-o-o much wiser than me, it's not even funny. I just look at her graying whiskers and into her deep, soulful eyes -- and they tell me "Stop worrying girlfriend. When you're my age, you'll realize that life is nothing but a big hoax...worrying doesn't solve problems and gets you nowhere fast ! Just live and let live mothafucka !". Lacy used to be a hyper pain-in-the-ass...but in the last two years, she's mellowed a lot.

On another note – don't know if you guys heard -- I just now found out by reading SuFu. But Kiya (SELF EDGE GOD) just had open-heart surgery. No shit. Such a young man...32 years old ! He's fine and recuperating...it was a birth defect or something. He insisted on opening SELA before going into surgery. Seriously.
I saw him a couple of months ago at the SESF Shorts Cut Off Party...he looked perfectly bubbly, healthy, and fine to me.
But again -- everything I know, I gathered by reading Kiya's own announcements on SuFu -- but if he hadn't have had this surgery, he'd be dead in 2 years.
Life has a way of fucking with your mind, doesn't it ?
