i always thought the 20 was the heaviest & tightest weaved of the heavies (not counting shirt/jackect combos).

interesting to get all of your takes on it.

I would respectfully disagree, and would not put the 52 and 54 in the ultra heavy category with the others, just my opinion
(that said the 52 gets worn more than the others)

The material for the 52 and 54 is woven the exact same way and with the same weight and construction weft warp threads as the 51….

well not sure what to say, they don't feel as heavy as the older ones, just my meager and unscientific opinion, but I stand by it

have worn all & i have to say the 20s are the mark that i measure all my other heavies against for a very special reason . . . . they fell the heaviest to me.

then again it's all subject to opinion & me being romantic about it.  i also tend to like hearing others thoughts so although i don't think all are "right" it's all good

** i have to go through those older threads alot of golden moments in them

I think the 20 feels so heavy because it had a tendency to shrink more than the others and thus the heft increased….

well regardless of shrinkage and weight the 20 feels different in construction than all the others
the 11, 32, dark rider, and 52 on the other hand all feel pretty similar (to me)

No, Toys McCoy is a separate company these days. I think it is owned by the guy who was part of the original RM before the company tanked and was then resurrected by Tsujimoto. Happy to be corrected if I've got the history wrong of course.

my biggest fear, the hip flare. is there any way to get rid of it? will the denim soften up after some wear and heavy things in the back pocket pull the jean down to prevent the flare?
