Follow up, if you're not on OSX, and/or don't have iMovie, and the clip's not too large and you know how fast/long/short you want it to be in total, feel free to PM and I'll do it and send back.

Hey guys, I'm kind of a history nerd. I ordered my first pair of ODs and I was wondering what the history behind the overdye was. Like did Haraki-san come up with the idea or what?

Haraki-San definitely did not come up with the idea.  Dyeing fibers has been around for more than 5000 years, so who really knows when the practice of dyeing something twice first occurred

Here is an article about dyeing. It mentions overdye used by ancient fucking Greeks to produce different colors.  A little more google searching probably will yield more results but I'm cocked and I think I need to go to bed

                  ^ Thanks for the info!

What's the history of it for Iron Heart? Did Haraki-san decide to make an OD jean or did someone else? How did it come about to make a jean like this? Info like that I would find very interesting 🙂

I've never heard the expression "I'm Cocked", Half-Cocked on the other hand, totally, and per Chris, is a reference to loading of a gun. Urban Dictionary supports the use of "I'm Cocked" tho. I learnt my new thing today too!!!! :D.

They're made of cotton. If you're in enough fire to hurt you and not just messing around IH pants aren't going to save you.

^ Neither.  It's heavy cotton which isn't particularly flammable so you're not likely to explode like a firecracker.  Likewise, those few extra oz. might give you some minimal extra protection from radiant heat but it's hardly going to save your ass from bushfire temperatures, let alone flame.

yeah okay.  I wasnt sure if cotton was a bad thing in a fire.  I know wool is good.. Plus i thought the extra oz my help with radiant heat only.  Of course if im on fire, or standing in actual flames im pretty much fkd.

Right. You're probably not going to combust or anything. Just don't expect them to save your ass in a real fire
